I don’t agree with this. Robin feeling some sort of connection to Regina I can buy, Robin being in love with Regina from “when he first met her” not so much. Why would he instantly be in love with a woman known as the “evil queen”? developing feelings for Regina over the course of the year I could understand (even though Regina kept rejecting him and insulting him rather than reciprocating his feelings which kind of begs the question why he kept pursuing her despite her being horrible to him) but Robin instantly being in love with Regina is a bit too much to be believable.
I agree too. I don’t think Robin was in love with her when he first met and Regina was definitely not in love with Robin when she first met him. In fact, there’s even an interview where Lana stated that it’s not love at first sight for Regina because she wasn’t in that mindset. I can however buy some kind of attraction on Robin’s part towards Regina, but not love at first sight.
She continues, “That love, if and when it ever plays out, it’s not going to happen for a little while. You’ll see their relationship slowly build. But it doesn’t start off on a very loving level. There’s a lot of tension between them. I like to think of them as eight-year-olds in third grade, pulling each other’s hair when they someone, or punching a girl in the shoulder on the playground. That’s their relationship at first! It’s not immature, it just hasn’t developed. That story line is going to evolve over time.” – Lana Parrilla
Then there was another Lana Parrilla & Sean Maguire interview that explains that when Regina and Robin meet in the EF, there was a heated attraction with a lot of sexual tension that Robin and Regina didn’t know how to be mature about. Lana said it best “Robin and Regina were like two third graders on a playground, messing with each other because they secretly liked each other.”
Now in the Missing Year…that was more so probably a more instant lustful/crush attraction, hence the sexual tension, but in Storybrooke it developed itself into more of a romantic/true love scenario.

Somehow, I doubt Robin’s past is as dark as Regina’s. I mean, obviously he didn’t or failed to kill Zelena. I think when Robin says he has a dark past, generally, it means he was a dishonorable thief. He stole from the poor, stealing to help himself rather than to help other people. I mean, we even learned earlier this season, Robin learned how to be an honorable thief from Marian.
He may have killed whomever he had originally stolen from…kinda like how Oliver Queen always killed his foes in Season 1 of Arrow.

Anyway, if he’s suggesting Robin should do it for a girl, that would say it has to happen before he’s married to Marian–though perhaps after they met, given that he’s “reformed” here. That’s my guess on the timeline.
I didn’t get that Robin’s motivation was meant to be for a girl? Rumple gave him gold straw (which, shouldn’t that be gold thread, not straw?) after alluding to the tax notice on the door that would put him out of business. And with Robin mentioning Nottingham having been there scaring everyone off, I’d assume that this happens after Marian’s left him to be with Robin, probably also after they’re married, which is why Nottingham’s trying to put Robin out of business, because revenge.
I have to agree here. Robin even says that he is not a thief any longer–he’s obviously trying to be a respectable man, which likely means that this is post-Lacey
I don’t know about Post Lacey…this could probably be after Robin Hood had already met Marian, and is trying to show her that he is a decent fellow, hence no more thieving.

While Robin has been away in New York and trying to adjust to life in the Big Apple, do you think he has been missing Regina?
SM: Of course, yeah! I mean the way that it’s written, and what I know from where we’ve gone with it, I think Robin has always been in love with Regina, pretty much from when he first met her. I think that when he met Marian, that was his true love and then he lost her and he mourned the loss of her. And then he met Regina, and that was it. Sort of an arrow straight through his heart, and I think he was completely smitten from the moment he met her — and I think he still is. I think despite being with Marian, which he had to do that and it was the honorable thing to do, his heart very much lies with Regina.THIS!!!

*sniff* They’ve really ruined the “Stiltskin” men on this show. Now I’m just waiting for how they’ll ruin the last one. Will Henry be able to escape the demonization and destruction that his father and grandfather have gone through?
That all depends on whether Henry becoming the next Author means he gets to rewrite his own happy ending or whether he has to give everyone else their happy endings. Remember Henry’s idea of a happy ending in S2 was him, Emma and Neal all getting a castle together in the Enchanted Forest. I’m pretty sure Henry would now include his adoptive mother into the mix. However, now Henry’s dad is dead, and his moms are both dating guys that Henry, at best, seems ambivalent about. We don’t know if he likes Robin.

As for Hook…well….we know his true feelings about that. #Anti Step-Papa Hook -_-
And I think Season 4 Henry has evolved quite a lot since Season 2 since his whole Neverland adventure…he may be just fine with getting Emma and Neal a place right next to mom’s house…they could be just like the Rubbles and the Flinstones! 🙂
I’m so hoping for Henry to be rooting for Storybrooke, and not the Enchanted Forest where he’d have to walk miles upon miles just to get to Emma and Neal’s castle!

And the most frustrating thing about the criticism to the show is that it’s always met with condescension. Dismissed as just the complaints of bitter shippers. We are not stupid or relate everything to romance. We have valid complaints and it’s so frustrating that this show, that was once wonderful and brought us all together has degraded to the point of hate-watching it. I don’t want to hate-watch it. I want to love it, but that is not to be, anymore, and it makes me sad.
TRUTH! And although I’m an OutlawQueen shipper…I think “certain” things could have been written better, or in more detail.
And killing Neal, one of the realest people on the show who could have probably served as the voice of the audience…when you really think about it, his death was truly unnecessary and carried no true plot. You don’t want him with Emma, fine, we can take that, but for the love of the father, son, and the holy ghost, don’t take another father from his son!!! Stilskin Men always lose their dad somehow, and I thought the cycle would have finally been broken with Neal & Henry, but nope, Adam and Eddy swiped that from us! This show literally stole the chance of Henry having a father, and actually manage to convince themselves and a fraction of the fandom that Hook can replace Neal in Henry’s life! (BEEP) NO!
And Rumple…poor Rumple! Talk about Character Assassination at it’s best…I have never watched a show that has tried so hard to make you hate what was once a beloved character, and to be honest, is slowly succeeding in that task. Where is the father and the husband, no (beep) that, THE HUMAN WE KNEW who would have chosen love over power!!! WHERE IS THE LIMPING, LOVING MAN WHO KISSED A SOLDIER’S BOOT WHILE PLEADING FOR HIS SON’S FREEDOM FROM WAR! HE MAY HAVE BEEN A COWARD, BUT (BEEP) IT, HE WASN’T A MONSTER!

And concerning OutlawQueen, I personally would have preferred if Regina and Robin had really hit it off back in the Enchanted Forest during that one year, I think everyone would have been warmed up to that build up rather than the excuse of being an “instant attraction/love at first sight”. Then again…thanks to these 11/11 half season episodes, we couldn’t get that because there wasn’t enough time.
Had Season 3 been all NL:
3×01-3×11: Neverland Adventure
3×11-3×22: Evil Panry
We could have gotten all of the missing info in a total Neverland Season 3.
And Season 4 should have been all of Oz!
4×01-4×11: The Whole Year in the EF/Beginning of OutlawQueen/WickedSisters Pre War/Emma and Henry in NYC
4×11-4×12: Season 3B As Usual
And then Season 5 would have been Frozen!
I just…I really don’t like this Half Season crap! It doesn’t give time to flesh out anything, and to be honest…Adam and Eddy are running out of stories to tell because they’re cutting them in half and rushing through it. That is why Season 4B really feels like we’re heading toward the end of this series (cough) Season 5 (cough).
