I wonder if Sally Pressman could be Aurora’s mom? And Maleficient is coming back later this season… Belle’s mom has already been cast, so it can’t be her.

You know Cinderella and Aurora are reportedly in SB….

    Welcome back!

Thank you! I just saw the 7 min clip and I must say, I feel oddly detached. I blame my absence from the web, cause in the past two weeks, about a thousand and one things were on my mind and Once was not one of them. But I guess that’s only for the best. The show and I have definitely drifted apart.

    You and me both….the show just doesn’t….I don’t know, lost it’s magic a little. Something’s missing…

I just hope Season 4 pulls through for us all…

I agree with Myril. If I were to do it, the princess wouldn’t be misunderstood, or evil because pf something someone did to her. She would be the way she is because its her doing. She likes being wicked. She likes causing pain and turmoil for others. I would even go so far to say that she doesn’t even powers or magic so that her evil is more human and understandable. I’d start out with a traditional Disney villain type. This princess probably usurped the throne, or just made herself a princess where their previously was no princess like what Maleficent did. She’d cause bad things for everyone under her dominion and along the way she actually begins to feel remorseful for what she has done. Perhaps the movie would be her journey to making amends for the wrong she has done. The people wouldn’t be so willing to accept her. But she tries and tries to male up for her evil, owning up to it, facing it, and taking the consequences. There is a lot that can be done with this. The only problem is that the princess can’t be TOO evil. We have to see something redeemable in her in order to ‘like her, so she can’t kill her parents for the throne, or ya know, murder someone outright.

Oh….okk….so no true love, but someone just right off the top wicked with no sob story. That’s easy to think of….let their parents be evil people, aka, the real baddies of the film….and then just let being raised by wicked parents rub wickedness off on her. That way she gets it honestly, because she was raised to be bad….nine times out of ten, she’s going to have some form of magic or power, ala, a Disney trademark.

Perhaps it wouldn’t be through true love, she finds redemption from through the means of her best friend, who throughout the course of the film will start out as her mortal enemy because they come from two different upbringings, one is good, the other is wicked. But eventually they turn into very close best friends, and learn they’re the two sides of the same coin, and learn from one another, changing each other for the better. That would be a new Disney Twist where it involves absolutely no prince charming or princess to fall in love, and blah, blah, blah…. 🙂

Hint, Hint…. a different version of Wicked. 😛

Why would she do wicked or evil things, without giving her too much of a sob story, and what could change her mind? Pondering ideas.

I would love if we had a dark princess at first….someone who starts out as a villain. Like cursed with wickedness or something, and the only way the curse would be broken is by of course the traditional true love. Sorta like how Elsa was originally intended to be a villain whose heart was supposed to be melted by a kind stranger…..but since Disney didn’t use that for her….perhaps they can create a completely original princess and use it.

Beauty and the Beast was sorta like this….only Beast wasn’t really evil, he was just angry a lot…

Perhaps she’s evil because she was shunned from the people for being different, and turned to darkness….and if it has to be someone romantically involved for her to turn good…can we not have the whole Prince Charming. I liked what Frozen did, a simple peasant man who was strong on his own without any riches, but was able to win the heart of a princess.

At 0:41 you can see Regina raise her hand about to zap Marian, but she grabs it and backs off! WOW! Lana is such a brilliant Actress!!!!!!!! As for Marian….I can understand why she feels the way she does, I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt! HOWEVER, Robin Hood……my love for you is steadily decreasing….you sat there and let your supposed to be dead, deceased, in a coffin, six feet under wife talk about Regina like she was a dog, and didn’t say a word to defend her….that’s the problem I’ve got!

And the King and Queen….I think I almost shed a tear. Just…that whole scene….the accuracy is astounding.

And as for Elsa…..this (beep) is fierce the way she walked out that barn! But I do have one question….what happened to her gloves? 😛

My overall reaction to the seven minute sneak peek though:

Well…to make what could be a long essay short, the reason why Frozen is so much more popular is for these three reasons:

    1. Elsa is a misunderstood Queen, who is the only princess in Disney Franchise to have magic powers.

    2. The story of True Love is turned on it’s head, and the movie is about sisterhood.

    3. Let It Go is one of the most acclaimed/addictive songs in Disney History.

These three things along with of course Olaf, made Frozen into the Oscar winning hit it was….and that’s why it’s never going anywhere. Disney is already planning four follow up novels to follow post Frozen movie, along with a Broadway Musical in the works, along with a probable sequel. Frozen isn’t going anywhere…for a very, very long time.
