ParticipantNice Things:
Whoever is over the CGI is definetly doing their job.
Oz Lore being mentioned, understood, and used.
I’m actually interested in seeing where the story with Ozma goes!
Ok…I know the show has to follow the books, but I can’t help but feel a little ticked that the Wicked Witch of the East is dead. How she died was a neat twist, but I really wanted to see more of her!!!! đ
Glinda & the Wicked Witch of the West have an interesting sisterhood, but it’s definetly believable! Can’t wait to see what happens with them, and really hoping one of them gets the chance to kill the Wizard, who I am definetly not fond of.
Bad Things:
“Mistress”? Really, is that what they call the iconic Witches of Oz?!!!!
Ok…I don’t really know if this is a mini series or an actual series, but it feels as if a bit too much is happening at once. One story is Dorothy & Lucas, next is The Witches of Oz, then there’s the Wizard, then Tip, and then there’s the Guards…it just feels like the story so far is all over the place.
Dorothy…Dorothy…Dorothy…hmmm. It’s not that the character’s bad, but…she’s not really interesting. Hopefully that changes soon!
Ok…I know this is their interpretation of the story, but I just don’t get an Oz feel from this show. It lacks so much magic and wonder that the Land of Oz is supposed to have, at one point I forgot I was watching a story about the Wizard of Oz. The world seems more like a cross over of Star Wars and Game of Thrones….like was that really the Emerald City?!!!
Overall:
Not as grand as I’d hope, but it was interesting enough to make me want to watch the next episode or two.

ParticipantThatâsâŚconfusing. His younger self grew up and is currently running around SB trying to kill himself a Savior.
lol, and this time they have an on screen reason to cover their bases. The Dark Realm itself has already been established as a place where nothing makes sense. Normal logic does not apply here.
The only other explanation I can think of is time travel, but where in the world would they get the ingredients? Zelena’s baby, Regina’s heart, and David’s courage? Did David even get his courage back from the last time? I don’t even know anymore…

ParticipantBlack Fairy and Gideon flashback?
I was thinking Rumple & Black Fairy, but that’s also a strong possibility. Hmmm…this will certainly be interesting to see a piece of the Black Fairy’s history.

ParticipantI’m definitely seeing this! I’m sure whatever storyline Dorothy’s having will be good, but I’m most interested in the sisterhood & storyline between North, East, & West!

ParticipantIf the history of the Wish Realm is the same as the Real EF, then Marian is probably dead. I think Wish Robin and the EQ are going to end up going to the Wish Realm together and living happily ever after together. A and E can say that some part of Regina gets her happy ending with Robin and Outlaw Queen lives on. it would also help explain page 23 if the Author was drawing a picture of an alt reality, which we know is the title of a future episode and Robinâs final appearance
Yeah, this will more than likely be the outcome.
However…is the EQ & Regina their own separate halves, like twins, or still bound together somehow?

ParticipantPersonally…I really don’t want this to happen, I’d much prefer for Regina & EQ to eventually hate their “separate” situation, and actually be put back together because neither would be whole without the other. Evil Queen needs her conscious (Regina) & Regina needs her spice & fury (Evil Queen), yin and yang, light and dark, one can’t survive without the other, that’s just how it should really be!
However…given the set up and of course my doubt in A & E’s Storytelling…I do think they’re just going to give the Evil Queen her own happy ending in the Wish Realm. It’ll probably end up becoming the land where all villains get their happy endings, and by that, I mean every villain wins:
The Evil Queen: Undisputed Queen of the entire realm, Her very own son Henry whose heart she’ll likely darken to become the Evil Prince, the dark and twisted version of Robin Hood, her parents alive and possibly a sisterhood with the Wicked Witch of the West.
Zelena: A Sisterhood with the Evil Queen & romance with Hades.
Cora: More than likely she and her two daughters will be the “Queens” of this land.
Maleficent: Vengeance on King Stefan & Princess Aurora, plus the opportunity to raise Lily.
Ursula: Her voice & possibly all the seas under her command.
Cruella: The ability to kill whomever she’s capable of killing.
Rumplestilskin: Perhaps a darker version of Belle?
Hook: Possibly a Pirate King with Milah alive.
Peter Pan: Forever Immortal & Young?
Hades: He’ll have Zelena and will overthrow his brother Zeus.
In all…my prediction is that this will end up becoming the Land of Villains where every villain has won and they all have their happy ending. I don’t know exactly the sort of message this will send out, but I’ve got a feeling this is the direction they’re heading in.

ParticipantIn addition to the problems already mentioned, the biggest problem for me is that the characters are no longer relatable or engaging. I simply do not care about them anymore. If any of the mains died, I wouldnât be able to muster any emotion. The problem is twofold. First, they donât behave like real people would, which makes it hard to relate to anyone. Poor writing, PLOT etc â weâve discussed all of this at length at some time or another. The second problem is the lack of diversity in the group. Iâm not just talking in terms of race, sexuality, age etc. They even think alike â witness all of them heading off to the Underworld with Emma, leaving babies and young children behind because âthatâs what heroes doâ. I havenât watched any episodes since âHeartlessâ and Iâm struggling to stick with OUAT. I doubt Iâll still be watching by the end of S6.
At this point Iâm seeing OUAT through to the end

Exactly…invested nearly six years in this show, might as well ride it out! From our ratings, I don’t think we’ve got long before it all ends, hopefully on a good note and not some terrible, open ended cliff hanger.

ParticipantIn conclusion, they donât try to tell a compelling story with compelling characters. They try to have the series as long as they can by doing fanservice time after time in the hopes it would give them high enough ratings to get renewed. That is really the problem with OUAT.
You hit the nail on the head with this truth!
In the struggle to keep their ratings at least halfway decent, Adam and Eddy are trying to make every corner of the OUAT Fandom happy and interested even at the cost of their show becoming even more confusing and ruined.
