‘Once Upon A Time’: Rebecca Mader Joining Season 3 — As Cruella De Vil?
A new villain is coming to Storybrooke. According to E! News, Rebecca Mader has been cast to play a “major” villainous character but the identity is being kept under wraps. The source said Mader will appear in the second half of the show and could appear on “multiple episodes.”
During New York Comic Con, executive producer Adam Horowitz revealed that several new characters would be added to the season including Ursula, Rapunzel and Cruella de Vil. Since it was recently announced that “The Originals” star Alexandra Metz will play the long-haired Rapunzel, and Lana Parilla (who plays Regina Mills) will also play Ursula, fans are speculating that Mader is going to be the Dalmation-stealing Cruella.
Fans are also speculating that the “Lost” actress could be brought into the show as the “mother” of Rumpelstiltskin or the Wicked Witch of the West. Unfortunately, fans of the show will have to wait until Dec. 15 to get a glimpse of the new character during the winter finale and will be introduced to the new villain in March when Season 3 returns for their second half.
Now personally…I think the chances are greater of her being Cruella De Vil! She just has that class about herself, and we don’t know how they may spin Cruella’s tale…she may be a sorceress from the EF who had an obsession with fur. This is Adam and Eddy’s take…heck, Peter Pan was Rumpelstilskin’s dad, you never know what may happen!

I’d been thinking they might steer clear of Rapunzel completely, just because Tangled is so recent and so widely loved. So I think them switching it up like this by making her look completely different to the Disney version is a good move. Makes me wonder how much if any they’ll borrow from the movie. I’ve gotta go re-read the original now.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe there’s hope for Frozen to appear in Season 4 after all.

Sorry, PoM, I’m not much of a fan fic reader. I just like reading people’s headcanon for stuff. hahahaha KFC…sorry you blush at my banner. I had one much more romantic and passionate, but since RG such a good friend of mine, I really don’t want her to get into trouble with Daniel about the other one I have. So I decided to just keep this one.
