ParticipantTo be honest, I feel James wished it was he who got to stay with their mother….and he having no one else to blame for how unloved he felt growing up, decided to blame the one person who got it all, David.
James was raised spoiled rotten, but I think if he had just let go of the past even just a little, David could have really helped his brother become the man deep down he really wanted to be.

ParticipantConcerning James and Cora….we really have to look at these two for who they are. James was a selfish, adulterating, egomaniac….his crimes were no where near as bad as Cora who was selfish, manipulative, and sociopath.
However, Cora also didn’t possess her heart, so she was really unaware of how much turmoil and damage she had done to her victims…James was completely aware. Not cutting Cora off too much slack, but she really didn’t have her heart, so she was practically like a child playing with fire….someone completely clueless/ignorant of the damage their doing to either themselves or someone else. James full blown reveled in the petty crimes he committed.
Upon regaining her heart, Cora completely understood all of the hell she’s wrought over the years and immediately realized the error of her ways. Unfortunately James never had such an epiphany. In the Underworld, Cora is consumed with remorse and admits aloud how wrong she was for everything, James remains the same way he lived, consumed with self-righteous behavior with the ego to boot. It’s pretty clear to see who could maybe get into the good, light side between the two of them.
It kinda goes back to an age old thought that some of the worlds worst people are going to make it into Heaven because of that last minute death bed confession and true repentance, not the ones who do it thinking it’s going to get them in easily, but those who accept and own up to their wrongdoing, and truly feels remorse for the sins they have done…no matter how quick it seems, it’s redemption, and that is what Cora did.

Best episode all season long! This was it, everything I hoped and more, this was it! Barbra Hershey, Rebecca Mader, and Lana Parrilla sold this episode for what it was worth, making their scenes the most powerful OUAT has ever done…I haven’t cried this much since 5×12 with Regina and Henry Sr!
Liked:
Everything…
Young Regina and Young Zelena playing dress up, all sisterly, and what not!
Proof that magic can be inherited through bloodline, hence Young Regina/Zelena magic.
The Regina and Zelena flashback and how it parallels present day.
James and David finally confronting one another and having it out once and for all!
Cruella! “Why is everything always in the woods with you people!” This is so true if you think about it!
Cora genuinely apologizing to both of her daughters!
Cora actually confessing that she loves her daughters, and hugging them both in the end!
Cora making it over to the happier side of the light, wherever it is, I rest knowing she’s finally at peace and happy!
Regina and Zelena gaining back their memories!
Regina and Zelena hugging one another, and Regina encouraging Zelena to go be with her man!
And did I mention that Cora was able to truly be redeemed in this episode, and allowed to cross over to the happy side of paradise…that last moment where she said goodbye to her daughters is on my top three list of greatest moments in OUAT History!

Dislike: (Nothing major, just small nitpicks)
Emma’s lie detector off again, she couldn’t tell that wasn’t her father?
Robin Hood trying to shoot a dead man…really Robin? Really? Season 3 Robin was smarter than this!
But Emma….come on! Season 1 you would have pieced that together in five minutes! How could you not tell?!!

ParticipantShe cursed herself to not bear a child against Cora in season 4.
Pretty sure a writer prescribed TLK will clear that right up.
Wasn’t there at one point around Season 1 it was said that a TLK could break any curse any where hence the big wave of light and love….what if Regina’s barren curse is already broken and she just doesn’t know it?

ParticipantTomorrow is the big Sisters Episode, and more than likely…Cora will be wrapping up her unfinished business.
So there are one or two paths Cora will be given…A dump into the Lake of Fire, or passing over into the happier, shining light afterlife….which one do you all think Adam and Eddy will give her?
History:
Random Peasant: Lake of Fire
Henry Sr: Happier Afterlife.
Hercules/Megara: Happier Afterlife.
Milah: River of Lost Souls
Liam: Happier Afterlife.
Gaston: River of Lost Souls
Aunt Em: River of Lost Souls
So we’ve still got four more people to place in the after life. Where do you think they’re going?
Cora:
Peter Pan:
Cruella:

ParticipantThing is though, this show presents true love as the be all and end all and that TL couple should be together. Hades wants Zelena to TLK him so his heart starts beating again. Hades using Zelena doesn’t make sense as a TLK wouldn’t work and therefore he’d be wasting his time so why bother? Hades must have genuine feelings for Zelena to think her TLK would work. Regina deciding that she knows what’s best for Zelena reeks of Regina being a control freak. Trying to sabotage Zelena’s relationship and “happy ending” is only going to make Zelena hate her more and only further push Zelena into Hades arms. Neither Zelena or Hades give a crap about what others think about them so I don’t see how Regina’s actions would benefit in any way. If anything it would give Zelena MORE reason to cause “chaos” with Hades, not less.
But what if Hades isn’t exactly what Zelena needs in her life, he’s the devil for God’s sake, just as Rumple told Cora he could really only give her darkness….I can only imagine what fresh hell Hades has to offer Zelena which could potentially regress her back to the Season 3 Wicked Witch we met or even worse.
Regina looking after her big sister Zelena reminds me of an old Roseanne episode where Roseanne had to intervene with Jackie’s unhealthy relationship…when one sister sees the other entering into something that would be ultimately unhealthy and potentially dangerous, you’ve got to try to stop them. I don’t think Regina’s necessarily being a control freak, but more of a concerned sister whose trying to keep her big sister from literally dancing with the devil.
From Bex’s TvLine 4/22 Interview:
TVLINE | Hades (played by Greg Germann) this week lays out his plan to escape the Underworld. What does Zelena think about it?
I think she’s hashtag #torn, because part of her wants to try to trust him. He’s told her that she’s his true love and that True Love’s Kiss will restart his heart, and then they can go and leave everybody behind. But a part of her is like, “I don’t know if I want to leave Regina behind actually.” It’s a bit weird for her because she’s starting to have sisterly feelings for Regina, so it’s like, “Well hang on, if I get my own happy ending, it will be at the expense of my new family. ParticipantThe sisters will also battle in present day as Regina tries to sabotage Zelena’s happy ending again to keep the Wicked Witch from running away with possible true love Hades (Greg Germann), but don’t expect bloodshed.
This makes it look like Regina is clearly in the wrong yet the show will play it as Regina having the right to do this. I hate when the show gives Regina a holier than thou attitude because it makes her more unlikable.
I guess it really all depends on Hades intentions….will he better her sister or make her worse? A Sibling’s job is to always look after the other, so if we see someone whose potentially making said sibling a worse person, almost like a bad influence….they’ve got to go. As romantic as it was, I don’t think Regina wants her big sister to go make “chaos” with the Devil himself. This is probably coming from more sisterly concern than vengeance.
A part of me feels that Adam and Eddy know that Regina and Zelena meeting in the past would be too guessable….they’re bound to throw in a pretty strong twist if it was able to make Rebecca Mader literally fall off of her sofa.
