ParticipantWho is Zelena throwing a fireball at? It happens so fast that I can’t tell. Dorothy? Cause it almost looks like a Regina outfit.
It’s definetly Dorothy….
My thing is…so no other witch took over the Emerald City while Zelena was away? She just waltzed in and continued where she left off?

ParticipantI THINK I’VE GOT IT GUYS!
Zelena isn’t in love with Hades, she was just fascinated with his darkness and role…it was nothing but a fling to her, but Hades actually fell deeply in love with her, technically obsessed with her!
Hades always knew Zelena would come to the Underworld, it was a reckless deal she had made with him that in exchange of him being patient and giving her enough time to get her revenge on Regina….upon her death, Zelena would be Queen of the Underworld forever with him. This is why he made the Underworld just like Storybrooke because it was the thing Zelena always wanted, and this is the reason he trapped Regina because this would give Zelena the honors in casting her sister into the Lake of Fire.
Of course by now we know she didn’t really mean it, she just wanted to get rid of him. So now she’s this new mother who wants to be there for her daughter, but she wounds up in the Underworld and Hades has come to collect, reminding her of their deal which is why Zelena is crying in the promo because she realizes that unless she help defeat Hades, she’s stuck forever in the Underworld and away from her child.
Therefore, Zelena is the key to defeating Hades because she’s the only person he’s ever loved, loved so much to the point he obsesses about her…she’s basically Persephone. Only now she has to team up with her sister and family to help take down Hades, lest she forever be trapped in the Underworld as his prison wife.

ParticipantMy rough guess: –Hades went to Oz because Zelena is so good at giving him precious souls that he was hoping to strike a deal. –He got to know her and her story and realized how much they have in common (really hoping they bring up Zeus at some point here! It’s gotta parallel with Zelena/Regina). –They fell in love over their mutual hatred of their siblings and love of wickedness –Hades wanted to take Zelena back to the Underworld to be his Queen –Zelena rejects this because she has to get revenge on Regina –Hades uses the Dark Curse, which was his to begin with, and turns the Underworld into the broken, red tinted SB we know it to be now, for Zelena, hoping she’ll join him there. –The key to defeating Hades is….Zelena’s love?? Ugh. No. But I fear that’s where they are going.
You maybe onto something RG….
What if Hades always planned on Zelena one day coming to the Underworld….
Zelena could actually be Persephone in this situation who promised that upon her death, she’d be Queen of the Underworld, but was actually deceiving Hades to buy her enough time to get her revenge on Regina. Hades has a sick love obsession with Zelena, who never wanted for things to get that far, and once she lands in the Underworld, Hades reminds her of her promise to stay with him forever which could be the reason that Zelena is crying because she knows she’d forever be separated from her child, so in order to find a way out of the reckless deal she had made, she has to help her sister and their family defeat Hades once and for all.

ParticipantI like the idea of the afterlife being individualized to the person. Why should people of other cultures be forced into the GREEK/ EUROPEAN idea of the afterlife? Do people of Asian, Native American, Indian beliefs not have their own versions of the after life? Henry SR was of European extraction but I am also assuming of GERMAN / GRIMM religious beliefs … he looked like he went into the light / up to Heaven. Hercules went to Olympus … A sailor would want to be at sea. AS for TRUE LOVE pairing I think their Heaven will be a place that is special to them if they are destine to be together…. I think it will be determined by how they live their lives.
@Nonnie It’s perfect for every culture to have their own personal afterlife happy ending, which is why I suggested that the afterlife is one huge, gigantic realm that has everything for everybody."If you go as far as you can see...you will then see enough to go even further." - Finn Balor

ParticipantWhat in the world went down between Hades and Zelena that has Zelena on the verge of tears.
I think Zelena probably let Hades go in order to fulfill her revenge against Regina. She chose revenge over love, in other words.
This would totally parallel with Cora letting Rumple go so she can fulfill her dream of being royalty and Regina making herself barren to focus solely on destroying Snow White….it would be amazing how alike the Mills Women are.

ParticipantI think Hades and Cora wheeled and deal in the past, their first encounter seemed so familiar between the two of them. Cora herself told Regina about things she had to do, and the deals that she had to make to get them their perfect life. Hades probably has a history with Peter Pan too…..he was obsessed with living forever as a young boy, so I wouldn’t put it past Peter to make a deal with Hades.
Hades could be their way of FINALLY explaining how Pan got that drawing of Henry, if Hades and Pan do have a past.
I was thinking the same thing. But to what end? What does Hades get out of it?
Knowing this show….Peter Pan sold his son’s soul to Hades.

ParticipantThis episode was….interesting.
Rating: 7/10
Liked:
Of course Cruella… (Handcuffs! You go girl!!!)
Hades gets more amusing every week….
That grandfather/grandson talk David had with Henry was so sweet!
Mixed:
That the afterlife is individualized…this maybe a problem when you think long term wise if you really think about it…say for instance that Emma’s happy ending is with her family, but Hook’s happy ending is on the seas with his brother…so these apparent “true loves” will just be separated in different realms for all of eternity? Or is all of the afterlife in one big world that has everything.
Dislike:
One or two other things that I don’t really feel like writing about….not up for long reviews tonight.

ParticipantHades and Zelena seemed like a Once Upon A Time version of Bonnie and Clyde….
It would seem like a rehash if Hades was just using Zelena because that was what Rumple had done….so I have no idea what went wrong between them.
