I don’t think Bae would’ve ran away because he Probably felt it was futile. So that would’ve left him with only 2 options; Dying or no longer fighting his fathers ways
[adrotate group="5"]winlea78ParticipantI’m sure hook desired to rescue Bae. As I’ve said in past post, the OUAT way of showing relationships/encounters isn’t what it seems. Hook didn’t grow to care as deeply for Bae as be did overnight or even in a week. Your talking about a hardened man here who could be cruel and merciless. Bae had a Significant effect on him. So, IMO they were together for a while. So yes, it’s very possible- likely even- that he would try at least once to undo some of the damage.
winlea78ParticipantFor me, it would be Baelfire. I can relate to the betral and abandonment by parents and also having to survive and figure things out on ones own. I also thinks he deals with feelings of rejection and worthlessness and that deep down no one will ever really love him because his own parents didn’t. I can see him being the type of person who’s always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Out of all the characters presented on the show, he’s the one I can relate to most. As I suspect others can as well.
winlea78ParticipantKillian’s father also abandond him and he abandaned Bae in a way. In real life, many people from all walks of life deal with father abandanment so that theam really strikes a cord with the audience.
winlea78ParticipantNo, I ment as captain, he can officiate the Ceremony.
winlea78ParticipantOnce Bae and Hook patch things up in the future. I think Hook -as captains can- will marry Bae and Emma 😀 on the JR

It is not so much Hook should have put his foot down, so much as he should have tried not to profit from betraying Bae. Keeping Bae safe for his own good may have been as Snow calls it “the hard path”, but it seemed Hook had already set him up, rather than warning Bae. He may have been willing to cancel the betrayal, if Bae didn’t reject him for suspecting exactly that sort of thing in the first place.
^ This is why I think Neal will be far less tolerant with Hook than Rumple. Hook brought just as much pain to him as Rumple did, but Rumple at least would’ve never betray him out to the enemy like Hook did. Having experienced that, does anyone really think he’d trust Hook with Henry’s safety? For all he knows Hook’d do that just so he can extort Peter Pan of something.
Hmmm, in a way I think what Rumple did to Bae was much worse. He let go of his son to face the unknown comeatly alone. For all Rumple knew, Bae could have been eaten alive by some fearsome creature on the other side of the portal.
winlea78ParticipantGood point. I think the best way to Bae’s heart is through Henry. Show genuine concern for Henry and your good with Bae. That was one of the things Neal was upset about with is dad.
winlea78Participant….but if Bae had chosen to stay with hook, that wouldn’t have happened. As much as I love Bae to pieces, I find him partly to blame for his Neverland fiasco.
winlea78ParticipantI still think that since Bae was the one who wanted out of the relationship or broke up (if you will) with hook. He may be more willing to hear hook out. Yes he caused Bae lots of pain, but his betrayal didn’t cut as deep as Rumples did. Over the years Bae may have Regretted not having some kind of family. Even a little bit especially during particularly lonely times. So IMO, all hook really has to do is say a sincere” I’M SORRY BAE, I WAS WORNG” and things will probably look up from there. Bae won’t hold hook to the same standards he holds his father.
