Hmm, i don’t see Merlin being born of a mortal woman and an incubus being a contradiction to the casting call. I could see that and the fact that he is a warlock because of it being a good enough reason for his family to shun him. First of all an incubus is supposed to come to mortal women in their sleep and it is not necessarily voluntary on the woman’s part. So if she did have a son as a result he would be a constant reminder to this and if she had a husband who had been off fighting the ogre wars then he would be a constant reminder to him of his wife’s, well not really infidelity, but that she had had intercourse with a demon…voluntary or not. I think that could easily work with the casting call they gave out…or maybe I am just biased because I just never liked the idea of Dr. Whale being Merlin. I do however like the idea of him being Dr. Frankenstein. My own theory right now is still that he is Monstro, though I know because he joked about it one time everybody shot that theory down, but I still think it is a possibility though I think he might also be King Triton whom Ursula curses as Monstro…or because of the god complex thing possibly Posiedon. Or maybe a greek mythological hero since most of them are half-god…I need to check out who the famous greek heros are who are sons of Posiedon. While I love the Frankenstien idea, I have to admit posiedon was the first thought that popped into my head because of the god complex thing, though that may be because I am a Percy Jackson fan and am looking forward to the new book in October. Something that is interesting to note is that Disney does own the rights to those books since they are published by Disney hyperion…
[adrotate group="5"]zlfh4ParticipantSo just saw this about charming’s mother. Have fun speculating!! http://www.hypable.com/2012/09/11/once-upon-a-time-season-2-what-will-happen-to-charmings-mother-ruth/
zlfh4ParticipantSee, I thought about that too…in fact I wondered if maybe red could also wind up being dorothy or possibly the wicked witch of the east tho since so far she has been good i would go for dorothy first. If you notice there are quite a few episodes in which Ruby is wearing what could be ruby slippers without all the sequins. Either way it could make for an interesting episode and as far as the relationship between quinn and anita could be the same just different characters…Can’t wait to find out!! My only reservation about him being the wizard of oz is that technically the wizard of oz was not a real wizard, just a man using modern inventions in a world that did not understand them and passing them off as magic..
zlfh4ParticipantOkay this is the third time I have tried to post this..Anyways I like the idea that Quinn is Merlin and Anita is Morgana, like Anastasia was Aurora, and Mongolia was Mulan which were my first initial guesses on those characters. I could see Morgana being a mentor to Merlin at first, and then him choosing to defy her once he realized what lengths she was willing to go to in order to protect those like herself. Given her description I would not be surprized if those like herself would include Regina. I could see the story playing out that Red asked Merlin for help if he was indeed responsible for giving Granny the red cloak, during the battle to take back the kingdom and Morgana insisting that both he and Red should give their loyalty to Regina and Rumple rather than people without magic like Charming and Snow. Just a theory that popped into my head after reading the casting calls..
zlfh4ParticipantI have to wonder if this is the case and Michael Raymond James is Bae, a very big if, then what if the vortex we are assuming takes snow and emma to a different realm or whatever brings bae to storybrooke. The primary reason for the curse was for Rumple to find Bae, and when he had Charming put the true love potion in Maleficent he did it for a reason. What if he knew that once the curse was broken he would need it to bring Bae to storybrooke. After all the well was supposed to bring back what once was lost and he manipulated Emma to get the potion back all of this before he knew about what Regina had done to Belle…
zlfh4ParticipantI really hope this is true. I do not want a love triangle either…i just can’t think of a way that could happen where I would not be disappointed in Snow White. I work for Disney and Snow White is the first Disney princess and until this show my least favorite. I really hope they don’t ruin the concept of true love that they went with during the first season.
zlfh4ParticipantI am sure there is probably going to be a focus on one or more characters in this particular episode as there always is…I just think that the storyline will probably be something along the lines of, if it is a Regina centric episode, which is what most are assuming, highlighting who she was then, who she is now, and how who she is now is more of a combination of the evil queen regina and the stable boy Regina before she lost Daniel. There is one important line from episode 2 that Regina herself says, “Love is weakness, I thought you knew that, Maleficent.” Now Regina loves Henry, and that is going to be a weakness or rather someone she would sacrifice anything for as Cora probably did in whatever deal she made with Rumple. I guess my theory is that this episode is probably going to focus on the parallels between what Regina is willing to do for Henry, and what Cora was willing to do for Regina. I could see them doing a parallel between the deal Regina made with Rumple for Henry, and the one Cora made with Rumple. Hope this makes sense…
zlfh4Participantso maybe this is a little cliche but my guess would be that we are both is a reference to all the characters having to come to terms with who they were in fairytale land and who they have been in Storybrooke..of course i always thought broken was in reference to the curse being broken and what the immediate aftereffects of this was since the first episode is supposed to pick up right where the season 1 left off but I could be wrong…
zlfh4ParticipantHmm..I don’t know about Sleeping Beauty being episode 1..In the title card sequence and the article that went along with it I thought the last three title cards were the first three episodes of Once…Mulan first, Sleeping Beauty second, and Jack and the Beanstalk third, and of course now we know Hook is fourth, which does not necessarily mean that we will meet Peter Pan in that particular episode. The reason I think this is likely is because we have already seen set photos with Mulan in them while we have yet to see Sarah Bolger or at least I have. It would also make more sense for Sleeping Beauty to be ep. 2 since they haven’t cast Prince Phillip yet….But then again i may be completely wrong..
zlfh4ParticipantI don’t think he is Prince Phillip either for the same reason plus Phillip is my favorite Disney prince and I would be disappointed if this were the case. Obviously he is not Captain Hook since Hook is not appearing til episode 4 so I am still going with Monstro… the creators did say that this season was all about discovery and redemption…Maybe by helping good he is redeeming himself…sort of like Pinocchio…especially if it is the BF who turned him into the whale as a punishment of sorts to begin with…
