Not sure where to post this or how reliable it is, but I saw it on Tumblr and thought I’d put it here:
    Dr Whale info!

According to @tvdnews, David Anders (during a panel at a TVD convention) announced that next season will be big for Dr Whale.

TV shows often have a way of featuring on a new villain each season. I think the story between Regina and Snow White has sort of run its course. That is why I think Dr. Whale may be the next villain they show playing a big role in season 2.

Is he going to be a villain? I guess he could, David Anders plays an awesome villain.

I’m guessing that whoever Dr. Whale is, he is going to be on the same side as Regina. We’ve already seen him calling Regina whenever something happens to David Nolan. Dr. Whale had a one-night stand with Mary Margaret, which makes me think he tried to keep David and MM apart. We’ve also seen him looking lecherously as Ruby. There is something seriously sinister about him.

It is so weird that Dr. Whale’s first name has been kept secret. I mean he and Mary hooked up and she still is calling him Dr. Whale. I bet his name is a give away to who he is just like Graham’s last name was.

    Pinocchio
Doctor Know-all from the same named story
Trusty John (remember people are mostly the opposite from their FTL parts)
Jack as in Jack of the beanstalk

LOL Pinicchio 😆 I actually think he looks WAY more like the kid who plays Pino than August does so I could go with that- after all Dr Whale is like Regina’s puppet & a Whale did swallow Pino 😉

I am now begining to think he will be tied to the druids in some manner, maybe the Arthurian tales. I am not up to date on the lore, but maybe.

We could also take his last name at face value and he could be the whale in moby dick.

Yeah, but if he was going to be an actual whale, wouldn’t he just be monstro?

Dr. Whale sounded like Irish or something at one point. Is that relevant to the character? There was just some accent going on at one point. It may be nothing. It isn’t as if accents have been consistent.
