Because – after reading the synopsis for the next ep. where there is mention of a donkey driver. That reminds me of when in the Disney version, where Pinocchio is turned into a donkey when he visits 'pleasure island'. It's actually a rather disturbing scene.
Both. I remember the Donkey scene. Funny you mention it as I think its what made me dislike the story so much. The story always leaves me with a bad feeling, even though it has a happy ending.
