Good question, Calraquin. In FTL fairy dust supplies the majority of magic. I’m not sure if it can be inherited…I think Cora got her magic out of a deal with Rumpel because she told Regina she had to “make many deals to get them where they are today”. Maybe magic got into Emma after she was transported in that portal tree?
