I do feel that Pinocchio should be given some leeway as a child, even though he is responsible for his actions, he probably was not aware of the long term consequences to leaving Emma. And he seemed to be afraid which is all reasonable. I don’t think it is because kids are stupid though and don’t understand logic. I agree that the scene with Emma and Pinocchio was too short when he left. It just seemed forced. He went from wanting to stay with Emma to leaving just like that and i know we are supposed to take into consideration that he was a follower in the past and just ran off before, but it still seemed quick.
I just think they need to do more with the character before Emma forgives him and they will have to do more with Geppetto as well.
