Um, Rumple with Cora was well before he was with Belle

Um, that’s not even a possibility in my mind. Not only would Belle never get involved with anyone after Rumple (a year or 30 years), to do so with his own son? No, she views him like a step son; she’s been devoted to him for decades even without having met him. There’s no chance of this happening. People can bond in grief, just bond period, without crossing that line……. I would think they’d be very close, but in a beautiful way. Adam and Eddy might as well end the show if they did this…….ick. Also, FYI, it was Eddy who said Belle and Bae would bond.
I think Neal’s a little old for Belle to be viewing him as a step son. She barely knew him up to and including the last episode. He’s not the little boy that Rumple had been describing, he’s a full grown man. Huge difference between the two. Again, not saying it’s going to happen, only saying that one should never say never when it comes to Adam and Eddy. Found that out through 6 seasons of LOST and 2.5 seasons of ONCE.
That’s just semantics, though – and Emilie/MRJ teased about a stepmother/stepson relationship. The point really is that whatever relationship they have is going to be familial only – and Belle would never (nor would Neal for that matter) indulge in a relationship with anyone, nevermind each other. Belle’s love for Gold is matched only by his for her…..and that’s an epic love; she simply wouldn’t do it – if necesssary, like Gold, she’d spend the rest of her life waiting to be reunited with him. AS to Adam and Eddy, I think we can say never when it comes to this. For one thing, they were not showrunners on LOST, they didn’t create it – they were just writers. For another, they know what they can and can’t get away with on this show; they’re not doing anything to hurt TL couples and Rumbelle would be destroyed if this happened, nevermind Belle herself.
Adam & Eddy may not have initially created the series LOST but they came into the show midway through S1 and were responsible for the story lines from that point on. They were also executive producers. The point is they are known for their twists and they follow THEIR story, regardless of the ships. As for TL being destroyed because a relationship was sidetracked, MM being with Dr. Whale, David being with Kathryn, Rumple being with Cora, Reggie being with Daniel, etc., discredits that notion. My point is that we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions regarding story lines or characters. You might see Belle one way but that doesn’t mean that Adam or Eddy sees her that way or sees her relationship with Rumple that way. This is Adam & Eddy’s story and they will take a character down whatever path they feel is necessary to tell their tale. Anything can happen as we’ve seen throughout this series and I like to remain open to character changes and growth. 🙂 In any event, I’m moving on from this subject as I think we’ve jacked this thread long enough. 😉 Perhaps it’s time to get back to the subject at hand, the interview, rather than concentrating solely on Rumbelle. 🙂 Cheers.
Well you can, but I can’t let this go without responding. You brought it up, so the subject is out there whether you choose to continue debating it or not.
MM was with Whale one night and seriously? She didn’t know who she was nor who David was..Cora was well before Belle, David didn’t know Kathryn (nevermind love her)……….Adam and Eddy are not going to touch TL (and Regina/Daniel were never established as True Love anyway) – they’re not going to mess with Rumbelle or Snowing like that, which is partly why we have a triangle with Emma now. She’s the only main character they can give multiple love interests to.
Adam and Eddy have spent (and I say this as someone who doesn’t even believe they particularly like them) 2 years cultivating this incredible love between Rumbelle…….Belle having an affair with her TL’s son is not character growth, it’s completely out of character.
