In other news. Things I liked: –I like that they want to have some bigger Rumbelle moments. And I suspect there is a large portion of the fandom that is dancing for joy over that –I like that we’re going to see more OZ myth than just the WWW. (Scarecrow was always my favorite. Hope we get him) –The way they sorta talk around Rumple and his coming back makes me think that it’s a super big surprise with how that storyline wraps up –Regina and Robin Hood are going to be very exciting.
I have to admit I just read the interview and can’t find anything hopeful about Rumbelle. They never said they wanted more Rumbelle moments…….they just said they had plans for Belle.

yeah… after reading RG’s post I had to reread the interview… maybe I missed something… WHERE do they promise rumbelle?? all they keep sayingis Belle will have a bigger part now. they said nothing about more rumbelle and they gave no hope for Rumpelstiltskin’s return

They specifically said Belle when the interviewer asked about Rumbelle, so I’m going with the notion that we won’t get any Rumbelle (except for possibly FB/memories) in the 2nd half of the season.

I don’t agree, but I guess we’ll see. Belle seems to have her own story (or whatever) and Gold has his own…. the fact that they wouldn’t even hint at any scenes at all (FB or whatever) is pretty revealing. They’ve sort of shot Rumbelle to pieces for the 2nd half. No Rumbelle is so depressing…wow.
Why would they hint at any scenes for RumBelle when they won’t even admit Rumple’s alive? Rumple’s fate is a huge spoiler right now. There is no way they are going to tell us any more than they have on when and where we will see him again- including when he’ll be with Belle. So it’s pointless to make any assumptions based on what they’ve said so far. I think we are going to see RumBelle flashbacks in episode 15. Since they told us we aren’t going to see Pre-Rumple Belle and we know Belle and Lumiere are featured in 15, it’s a pretty decent bet. Or if it’s a flashback to that missing year, perhaps Belle is seeking Rumple.
Even if they aren’t physically together in the present day that won’t mean we won’t see them in the past or that they won’t play a part in each other’s present day story. We were just talking about how lovely their relationship was in Dark Hollow when they were in different realms.
Don’t start taking speculation as fact- you’ll give yourself a migraine. They have left it completely open as to when we will see RumBelle again.
I’m far more excited to see Belle get more of a story than I am worried about seeing RumBelle together though.
I am only interested in Rumpel, for some reason… I’m waiting for march 9 only to find out if he’s really dead, and if he is, how will he be remembered? as the evil dark one? WILL he be remembered at all? THIS is whats making me batty. not any death I care nothing about, not snowings baby or anything, (ok I admit I DO care about Regina’s story as well, and weather Henry will still be hers) but MOSTLY I want to know how people will remember Rumpel. IF they will

and you know Belle is the half of Rumbelle that’s been lacking development and integration into the story. I thought maybe they’d give her more to do last half on her own but it’s looking like it’s gonna happen this half. I’m looking forward to seeing that happen because up until now let’s be honest she’s really only “Rumple’s girlfriend” to everybody in present time. Here’s a great chance again to do some good development of her character on her own and with the rest of the main cast.

All good points, Angie… Even though I’m skeptical because A/E have always said Belle will have story, I DO have a feeling that this time it’s different.
I think Belle will meet Lumiere in the year that was past in FTL, so I hope we’ll get Belle remembering times in the DC. I’m dying to see their friendship, but also the awkardness that must have arisen after they realized the intensity of their feelings.
I also have to remember that A/E said twice (December and January) that Rumbelle would be explored -remember the famous “whatever state that’s in”? LOL So…maybe Belle will try to save Gold IF he’s under the WW control or he’s the DO again or whatever. That would be fantastic…… as long as (a) they get a proper, LONG reunion and (b) they are not torn apart AGAIN at the end of S3. I admit that I don’t like the idea of Gold being controlled or his being the DO again at all…….. He worked so hard to change and this is what he has to suffer through? It’s cheesy…..and I don’t have this fascination with DO Rumple (really DO, like early on) that so many do.
Stelio, that’s a great point. I really REALLY want Belle to put her foot down and make it known to everyone that she won’t be ignored and she’s going to make sure that Gold is remembered.
I’m tired of being miserable, I hate it. I want to enjoy what’s coming up…..My problem is that I’m always looking ahead and I worry about them being separated again. I can’t imagine A/E will go there, though……….I suppose it’s not worth even thinking about just now, lol
Well, based on another interview where Adam & Eddy were asked if Belle and Neal would spend time bonding because of Rumple’s demise, Adam was quick to answer with a “Yup!”
Have to wonder what one year of bonding together, in the EF, really means, if ya know what I mean. If Neal turned to someone else so quickly, following their return to the EF, that may help lessen the blow to NF fans as they may not see Neal in the same light anymore.
Not saying this is what’s going to happen but with these guys, one just never knows.

Um, that’s not even a possibility in my mind. Not only would Belle never get involved with anyone after Rumple (a year or 30 years), to do so with his own son? No, she views him like a step son; she’s been devoted to him for decades even without having met him. There’s no chance of this happening. People can bond in grief, just bond period, without crossing that line……. I would think they’d be very close, but in a beautiful way. Adam and Eddy might as well end the show if they did this…….ick.
Also, FYI, it was Eddy who said Belle and Bae would bond.
