I loved the OTT characterisation of Bo Peep. Had me in stitches with the bad cockney accent – especially when she then turned up as the butcher in Storybrooke. (Just kept imagining her singing The Worst Pies in London then…)
Snow’s outburst at the needy dwarves was also hilarious. Their justification for asking her to fix things made sense within the context of the show: the people of the Enchanted Forest (or at least a large proportion of them) see Snow as their rightful Queen…. which translated into the modern world, they see her as the civic leader – the Mayor. The fact that she might want some maternity leave right now just hasn’t occurred to them.
I am so glad that Snow’s outburst contained a jab at the dwarves complaining about lacking modern conveniences for all of half an hour or whatever it had been by the time they came to get her. They lived their entire lives without conveniences before – suck it up for a bit now! ERMAGHAD I CAN’T GOOGLE…. a hilarious insight into how over reliant we are on modern tech.
