Just in case anyone forgot, NBC was set to create a 10 episode miniseries about a reimagined version of the Wizard Of Oz called Emerald City. It was briefly cancelled before they decided to go ahead with it. Here are a few photos they have released apparently:
Here is Dorothy (Adria Arjona), and Lucas the “Scarecrow” (Oliver Jackson-Cohen). They are love interests.
And Toto. Must say that Yellow Brick Road looks really Yellow, not so much brick.

LOL My first thought when I saw her was: She’s gonna be awesome…she’s gonna be awesome, they are going to give her a backstory, and she is going to slay the screen every time she appears. She might just be the Rumpel or Regina of this show.
And I am really curious about this scarecrow guy. Like…is he human?He seems to be burnt, bloody and…straw-y in that one pic. All in all I cant wait for this. I am huge Oz fan and this looks fantastic. Cant wait to see how they will handle the Lion and Tinman, if they are on here.

There are reports of fall, but one of the actors said summer, media are saying probably at the upfronts they will have more info.
