Does Rumpel giving up his power even MEAN anything really? He may lose the dark one magic and immortality, but he still has 300 years worth of magical knowledge and an entire CASTLE full of magical items. I don’t think giving up the power of the dagger would be a major setback for him. Cora wasn’t a Dark One and she was powerful enough to apparently combat Rump so I think if he is gives up his magic he can still be tempted by power and all that stuff still and it wont really change much.
Anyway, this is how it will all go down this season:
–Rump brings QOD into SB to help him fnd the Author or sorcerer or whomever
–They betray Rump.
–Some kind of bigger threat arises.
— Rump helps the heroes defeat both the queens and the bigger threat making Belle and co believe he really is good on the inside.
— TLK.
