I think Regina was desperate to feel any type of love from Henry in Season 2 and 3A, which is how Pan and Cora were able to manipulate her. If you take this new information about infertility into account, it just makes both situation cruel.
You know, the fact that Cora had zero problems using Henry to manipulate Regina in Season 2 just proves that Regina’s impulsive decision was steeped in real-world practicality. That is so incredibly sad. Cora did a number on her girls.
