@Kisses: The donkey scene never really scared me as a child but then again, that’s probably because I’d already been traumatized by pink elephants on parade. Therein, the donkey scene didn’t serve as any judging tool in regards to the movie. It did make for an interesting tongue-in cheek turned reality though. Though, perhaps you don’t like the story because it’s a cautionary tale which is far too implausible to begin within and too easily does away with common sense.
In regards to August though, I just see too many similarities for him to be Pinocchio, though I’ll happily eat my words when/if proven wrong.
