@ malchore adn KatherineLn: Granny said that she was marked and turned by Red’s grandfather, a werewolf. Once Granny had turned into a werewolf, she became pregnant by that same werewolf who turned her. Granny went on to have a daughter, Red’s mother, who was also a werewolf (but was killed by a team of hunters). Red was born with the werewolf gene, which was activated at age 13. Whereas Red inherited the curse genetically, Granny was turned into a werewolf via a bite mark.
@ RumplesGirl: I think you’re probably right about Red’s Happily Ever After. She sadly ate Peter (from the story of Peter and the Wolf). Instead, her happy ending may be self-improvement in SB.
But I think it’s not a who at all. I think her Happily Ever After is more being able to live her life, not being hunted, and being in control of her power.
