So, I know they didn’t show us the carnage (thankfully), but we are all assuming Peter is dead behind that log unless someone magically or otherwise threw the wolf a bone or a sheep, so to speak. So, if Red killed her true love, is there a happily ever after for her? Or was he not her true love since his kiss did not break the wolf curse, and she has yet to find someone else?

I would like to add that the writers also did a great job setting us up with tracks that led back to her window. Although, I don’t understand how a hunting party could not follow those tracks as easily as she and SW did, especially in the snow; and was it such a novel idea to follow them during the day? Or did Granny go out and wipe them out normally? I don’t know, once I thought about it that just seemed rather weird, even though I know it goes to the FTL story.

Oh, good point about the werewolf curse not broken when she kissed Peter. My initial reaction is that she’s not under a “magical” curse — those can be broken with true love’s kiss.

From wikipedia, “…the ability to shapeshift into a wolf or an anthropomorphic wolf-like creature, either purposely or after being placed under a curse and/or lycanthropic affliction via a bite or scratch from a werewolf, or some other means.” Granny related the hereditary history of their family – the family has the affliction of lycanthrope.

Another possibility is the red cloak can prevent her from becoming the werewolf, and also shields her from breaking the curse with true love’s kiss.

As to your point about the hunting party not able to follow the tracks, maybe the show was trying to imply that men are so stupid they can’t even follow tracks in the snow in broad daylight! 😆

I like the idea that Red was just born this way and is not cursed. And Peter looked pretty dead. I thought that was gory enough. You could see his foot and the rest of him didn’t seem like it was there.

I agree: Poor Peter, we hardly knew ye. :-/
But that begs the question of who Red’s Happily Ever After is?
But I think it’s not a who at all. I think her Happily Ever After is more being able to live her life, not being hunted, and being in control of her power.

I agree. I like the idea that not everyone’s happily ever after is about who they get together with in the end. You can only do that so much. Just Red growing up and taking over the diner and doing something she likes sounds good to me.

Another weird thing. The tracks eventually changed from wolf to human, and they (Red and Snow) followed them back into the village and ultimately to Red’s home. The tracks were bare human feet, in the snow. We (the audience) are meant to belive when Red transforms back into a human she is without clothing, even though we saw she was fully clothed after Granny covered the wolf with the red cloak. You’d think Red would notice she’s Inexplicably losing a lot of dresses and boots!

I’ll chalk that up to the fact the show is a primetime family show on network TV and can’t have a naked Meghan Ory wandering around (no matter how much I wish for it.)

The print actually went from wolf to boot print. And i think that was the right way to go. It is a little weird, but no less weird then Grumpy popping out of his egg with clothes on.

Wait, are you sure they were boot prints? I’m pretty sure I saw five toes in the prints. In fact that is what lead to Red&Snow being shocked and confused.

Red says that the paws turn into boots. What I thought was funny, is that although she’s so good at tracking, she doesn’t recognize the profile as her own …

Yeah that is what Red said. She said that they turned into boot prints.
