I think the same like you. He is completely lost. The scene was great. He totally forget that he couldn’t heal himself. I am sure that he knows that he has no magic, because with the fire ball he waited until he crossed again the line in 2.12. He knows that he is so near Bealfire since 300 years and that it is very dangerous that he could lose his memory or get hurt or die by a plane crash. And that is not all. I think the worst for him IS to find his son, who will hate him and he can’t do something against. No magic will help him by that even if he had magic at the Outside.

I am so glad that he has Henry and Emma as company (They will look after grandpastiltskin until the reunion 😉 ) and Emma and Neal won’t kill him when Henry is around.

And more I am happy that Rumplestiltskin is played by Robert Carlyle, who is such aa great actor that you can see so much feelings in one expression.
