Question: Did you see the way Bae held his sword vs David in the Miller’s Daughter, I wonder if that is a clue as to where he has been. I have never seen anyone hold a sword up like that if I remember correctly, and in fact has anyone seen a pirate fight like that ❓
Yes, I agree that the way Neal holds a sword is rather pirate-like. Plus, he knows Hook and knew how to sail his ship. Baelfire was certainly in Neverland, since Neal said in Manhattan he’s a lot older than he looks (paraphrasing). Bae left the EF about 250 years ago, so there is no way he’d even be alive today, much less look like a young man in our world, unless his first port of call was a Land Without Time (i.e. Neverland). I think the question that remains is what was Baelfire doing in Neverland? Was he a pirate or part of Hook’s crew? Was he a Lost Boy? Was he the Pan at one point? Perhaps the answer is a combo of all choices. Even Peter Pan had to learn his awesome swordsmanship skill from somewhere (perhaps from Hook).
I posted a picture of Dylan Schmid on the set of 2×22 and his costume looks like that of a sailor, so he could very easily have been a member of Hook’s crew. https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=3184&start=860#p51485
