I wonder if Emma was viewed a bit as a scary child, like in a Stephen King novel? Did her magic freak out potential parents?
Saw a comment somewhere recently where someone wondered if the lights would flicker every time LittleEmma got overly emotional, and if so, how it must have freaked people out.
Did she run at some point thinking a family would not want her but they did?
That would be interesting!
There was somethin in the newspaper about her criminal past but we could not quite see it, just tragic set of events if anyone remembers.
Think it was an incident in MA? *googling*
Records show that when she was merely a girl of seventeen, Emma Swan found herself, ironically, on the wrong side of the law. She was visiting friends of her foster parents in the town of Worcester, Massachusetts, it would prove to be a trip that would earn her a juvenile criminal record.
On the evening of June 16th, 1996, Swan—
If that newspaper article is an actual storyline they’re gonna stick with, it has to have happened right before she fled clear across the country and met Neal.
Endless possibilities and months to speculate.
Here’s hoping our sanity hangs in there that long.
I think the random guy could be a former one night stand that has connexions that Emma wishes to use. She dresses up nice to meet him, they exchange “great to see you” Emma tries to be perhaps a little flirty and exploit their history together and the guy turns around and says he can’t help Emma and that he’s moved on with his life, and that it was great to see Emma again. He kisses her then leaves.
I could see that working for 312, but not sure it could turn into a recurring role, which this guy apparently has the potential to be?
Regina would have had to be talking about addresses Emma had since she was 18.
Yep, she says, “It’s the number of addresses you’ve had in the last decade.” So she’s lived in 7 places since getting out of jail.
From everything I’ve read (an interview saying Emma chose her own last name- don’t remember how old it is, but if anyone remembers the reference in the article and I’ve got it wrong, please let me know…) and JMo’s tweet about Swan being her first foster family’s last name, I’ve arrived at the conclusion that Emma chose to use the last name of her first foster family. Looking for the article so I can link it here….
Thought I remembered comments like that as well, but buggered if I remember exactly where/when it was said. At least I know I’m not delusional though, if someone else remembers them as well.
