The dress that Regina is wearing in the picture is the same dress Regina wore in 2×2 “We Are Both” when she first summoned Rumplestiltskin. It was before she went dark and became Rumple’s monster, which leads me to conclude that Regina might have been consulting Tinker Bell, her fairy mother. Hoping to avoid using the dark magic that Cora dabbled in, Regina might have hoped to escape her mother with the help of a fairy. However, maybe Tink was in cahoots with the BF not to help Regina, since the BF might have wanted the curse to be cast for some unknown reason. Perhaps Tink was working with PP to help ensure the curse would be cast. Or maybe Rumple sent Tink to NL to have Regina all to himself.
