.He didn’t. But after tonight it feels all but confirmed. And it’s something many of us have been speculating all summer. All their interactions tonight, to me, pointed in that direction.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 20, 2013 at 10:24 pm #217511lunatigerParticipantAnother great episode tonight!
Favorite Moments:
-Showing how resourceful Neal is. (escaping from Felix, harpooning the squid, tricking Peter to touching the squid ink, tricking Rumple to holding the squid ink, seeing the secret map that young Nealfire made.) He is all kinds of awesome to me at this point. His first attempt to save Henry was pretty good in my opinion given how powerful Peter is.
-Rumple/Neal moments about the prophecy. Heartbreaking but great acting between Bobby and Michael. I can really buy that they are father and son with a lot of history. Maybe I’m the only one who was a bit glad that Neal gave Rumple a taste of his own medicine after he finds out that his OWN FATHER WAS CONTEMPLATING TO KILL HIS SON. If I was a parent I would get my child away too. I love seeing Neal’s devotion to Henry, even if it meant breaking his own relationship to his manipulative father.
Neal shouting to an unconscious Henry that he will come get him and being taken away by the Lost Boy (Probably imprisoned) Again such fatherly devotion. It brought tears to my eyes as I watching it.
-Team Emma going to Nealfire’s cave and learning more about Nealfire as a kid.
-Emma bursting out that she “NEVER STOP LOVING HIM” oohhh my heart swelled when she said that about Neal!
-Peter Pan playing his “games” I’m loving him more and more. He give Rumple a run for his money in manipluation
Minor Least Favorite
I hate to say but the flashback with Bea/Rumple was a tad distracting due to the kid actor’s noticeable growth. It didn’t really add much to the strenuous Bea/Rumple relationship. But I did like that Peter was also the Pied Piper and he started his lost boys gang.

OKAY… I just thought I was loosing it…. I miss stuff cause my 5 year old grandson watches and is anything but quiet …. talking and asking questions through the entire story so I thought I just missed the big reveal.

Least Favorite – When Bae rejected his father. Seriously was Rumple that bad of a father to Baelfire? He said he was willing to die for Henry and Bae couldn’t even give him a chance.

I don’t think that Emma disbelieves in Tink per se, it’s just that she’s having a hard time dealing with the tweeness of running around with what in her Real World head should be an iconic animated Disney figure. It’s one thing to tease Captain Hook aka Killian Jones about his Disney counterpart, perms and all, it’s another to suddenly find yourself confronted with the real Tinkerbell.
Favourite moments:
- loved Regina’s EQ smile when the scooby gang learned of GOAT’s fate
- epic feels (somewhat ruined by terribly buffering on the stream I was watching!) at all the Rumple/Bae moments
- LOVED Neal going all nature boy and Rumple being perplexed. Hey dude, your son survived, on his own, in Neverland for possibly hundreds of years before escaping/being let go!
- Emma finally opening up a bit to Ma and Pa. She’s slowly letting them in… would the old Emma have ever revealed that amount of heartache and vulnerability to anyone? No.
- And then Snow’s “I’m a crappy mother” speech
- Hook’s concern for Charming. I love a Princely Pirate bromance.
Least favourite:
- I know it needs to happen for dramatic emphasis and I know that Neal has abundant reasons for not trusting his father…. but darn. It would’ve been good for Neal not to freeze Rumple
- As much as I like Rumbelle scenes, the fact he’s merrily chatting to a figment of his imagination in a forest is a bit …. twee. Like Emma saying Tink’s name, I’m struggling to be OK with that.
October 20, 2013 at 11:37 pm #217565Kelli AdkinsParticipantFavorite moments:
Peter Pan and Rumple’s scenes
Rumbelle scenes
Nealfire and Rumple reuniting and fighting off the squid.
Least favorite moments:
Peter telling Nealfire about the prophecy
Nealfire freezes Rumple with the squid ink and leaving his dad
If you know who I am, then you know who I am. - Rumple |
Wicked Sisters | Rumbelle | Outlaw Queen | Captain Swan | Scarlet Queen | Knalice | Team Adam & EddyOctober 20, 2013 at 11:40 pm #217567tabsicleParticipantOk, I’m on the fence on this ep. I feel like it was a filler ep, and prolly could have been skipped. At the end I felt like “That’s it!”
Likes: Neal and Rumple working together.
Emma figuring out the coconut
Pied Piper being tied in
Only unloved children can hear Pan’s Flute, and how PP came up with calling them “The lost boys”
How you didn’t hear the music until Henry did.
Baelfire drawing.
Neal tricking PP
Dislikes:
The feeling that it was a filler episode, and was over leaving me disappointed.
Henry giving up on Emma and Regina so quickly. I mean Emma’s profession before SB was finding people. Regina started a whole curse to get vengeance on Snow because of she told a secret as a little girl. Emma and Regina are relentless, and Henry of all people should know this!
Neal tricking Rumple. (Although it was clever)
The fact that we have not seen Storybrooke or real Belle AT ALL IN THREE EPISODES!!!!!!!!!!!!! What’s up with that A&E?
Young Bae just seemed whiney this episode to me.
Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.

I agree 100% I wish thed gone with the first Little Bae they casted since Dylan is really old now the other guy probably is the perfect age now but still loved everthing else Neal’s love for Henry made me cry so so much
October 21, 2013 at 12:18 am #217587PheeParticipantI loved pretty much every moment of this ep!
Except for Leggy, because I have a phobia of tentacled creatures, but Neal killed it, so he’s my hero.
