we know that she doesn’t drink the potion here, that happens in front of the jailhouse. So does something else happen here that causes Emma to doubt and have Hook arrested? Does her lie detector go off? Why does she suddenly have the cops take Hook? At the very end of the scene, Emma looks like she is mere seconds away from drinking.
I think Emma calls the cops on Hook while still in Central Park. (I recall reading a spoiler about this somewhere when the photos of this scene originally cropped up). Also, Emma now has Henry’s camera, which he left in Neal’s apartment in “Manhattan.” I think Emma then develops the pics from the film in the camera and sees the pics of Henry with Neal. That is probably what convinces her even further since it’s harder to fake a picture than it is to plant an object in an apartment. Then she goes and bails out Hook, drinks the potion, and remembers.

How would he have been able to leave the town if he was cursed along with everybody else
Well we don’t know that the Curse works like the old one where people can’t leave
If Hook came via SB, how does he remember everyone was cursed?
But everyone figures out they were cursed because even Belle says in that one promo “do you know who cursed us?” So they do figure out really quickly that something happened to them

–Emma goes and it’s Neal’s apartment. Finds the camera
–Emma meets Hook in the park. (sneak peek)
–Emma has Hook arrested
–Emma develops the pictures on the camera. At this point I think they probably show Henry with Regina, Henry and Emma in SB, Emma and MM in SB, and the events of “Manhattan” after the episode ended
–Emma bails Hook out and drinks potion

@RG Possibly. RC supposedly did some studio work before he went on Christmas break, what if that work was just having photos taken for the camera to be used? Though the pics of Henry we saw in a spoiler pic were just stills of Henry from various episodes so who knows.

He wasn’t so much anti, he was just very dismissive. If Hook doesn’t have his memories of the missing year, then that dismissive nature is understandable and we can keep some sliver of hope that there was CaptainFire development during the missing year. But if he does have his memories, and is being dismissive of Neal, that likely means there’s been no evolution of the CaptainFire relationship during the missing year, and that’s something all sides of the fandom have been wanting to see, and if Hook and Neal didn’t deal with some of their stuff during the missing year, then it’s probably never gonna happen, which would be HUGELY disappointing and a MASSIVE missed opportunity for some good TV, IMO.

Agree, Jenna. At this point Emma really doesn’t like Neal since she doesn’t remember re-meeting him and hashing things out. She’s afraid he found out about Henry and wants to get to know their son, just like in Manhatten. Neal is a negative thing right now to her. Hook knows about Neal abandoning her and is a sore subject for Emma and he wants Emma to re-focus back on to her parents and getting her memories back, positive things. I wonder what Emma has told Henry about who is father was. Same story as before – a fireman who likes pumpkin pie – or perhaps something closer to the truth.

It seems to me like Emma’s concept of home, even when cursed, is wherever Baelfire‘s home is. That is very similar to when David, newly awoken from his coma in S1, made his way to the toll bridge, which was really the troll bridge, because that is where he met Snow. It seems like a person’s subconscious always takes them back to the places they love.
