So seems like the flying monkey scratches Regina, possibly to get a sample of her blood. Now the question becomes, why does Zelena want or need Regina’s blood? For blood magic? Are they related? Sisters?

Can anyone guess at when in the missing year the flying monkey incident occurs? Is it like first day or later on? How soon does Zelena become aware that everyone is back?

I think that Aurora and Philip keep it a secret from Snow and everyone else that Zelena is in power because she has threatened their unborn child. Then later that same day they arrive back in EF, Regina, Snow and everyone else are attacked by flying monkeys.
