What;s with that ritual place. Reminds me of HarryPotter 4. Anyway maybe;s it;s a ancient sight of the original Dark One or something. All I know, looks like very bad magic that Neal and Belle probably shouldn’t be tampering with.

I thought it looked darker than water, like blood.
But it might nice to tie in the well of wonders–especially if the Gazebo Philip and Aurora were using is somehow connected to the Well.

The fourth one to the right is a Triquetra, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triquetra
It has several meanings and origins among them celtic and norse roots. IN popular culture you’d most likely see it on Thor’s Hammer/ Asgard, The Book of Shadows in Charmed and meant to represent various threes like the Trinity. Or Mythological beings of power that have three aspects .
The fifth is the symbol for Fire hmm the red room and other places perhaps if it’s like Jefferson’s hat below it.
Then the all seeing eye, or perhaps the eye of Horus (Egyptian)
The pentangle which has connections to Sir Gawain and The Green Knight. etc.
not entirely sure about the other ones, but the cup perhaps is related to the Holy Grail in some manner.

I think it might be a portal to the underworld and the person which comes out of it is Rumple.

Looks black to me, and the way Rumple’s moving makes it look like maybe he’s rising up out of it, so I guess the dark stuff is the Dark One returning? And given that Rumple said to Zelena that she shouldn’t have brought him back, I’m wondering if that oozy dark stuff is her doing, not BelleFire’s, they just happen to get to the place just in time to see what she’s doing. Neal might try to stop her, and that’s when she takes his heart (if that is indeed what she’s done) to get him to back off so she can take Rumple away.
Now……..just had a quick thought I had to post before bed….if this symbol is in fact a resurrection symbol like some of us theorize…won’t that break the laws of magic?
But from the looks of it….it did seem to have something to do with Rumple being brought back…
But if it is a resurrection thingie…then does that mean that Zelena is trying to resurrect someone else in SB based on a similar symbol drawn in the ground in the pic below?
I hope Adam and Eddy aren’t trying to pull a Harry Potter twist on us…….

And the resurrection idea reminded me, that Osiris, the Egyptian god of the underworld/afterlife is shown with green skin. He was also associated with annual flooding of the Nile, vegetation and agriculture (thus the green). Maybe more interesting, the patron and protector of Lower Egypt was a goddess called Wadjet, which means the papyrus colored or green one, often shown as snake-headed or as snake (a cobra). The crown of Lower Egypt is a the Red Crown (Deshret). Wadjet was also seen as protectors of mothers and particular during childbirth. Her sister was Nekhbet, goddess of Upper Egypt, the mother of mothers, depicted as vulture or with the White Crown of Upper Egypt. Together they became protectors of all Egypt and the pharaos. Probably just coincidence. But something to spin more ideas, speculation 😉

I could see that being the case. We don’t know exactly how long Zelena had been in Regina’s castle, and maybe she went snooping, found her mother’s grave, and that’s what set current events in motion because she decided she wanted to bring her back.
PS. That sword that Charming has in that recent pic that WR included in her post, looks like it’s different to the sword he lost in 314, so Zelena’s still got it for her nefarious purposes.
