This title feels so eerie…I don’t know about this one. It could mean just about anything on Once…but I’m willing to bet it’s about Emma or her heart!

It could be that too. There was that recent spoiler about Hook protecting Emma’s heart.
Series cocreator Adam Horowitz tells me that when Season 4B arrives on March 1, “The tables are turned” for the Storybrooke lovebirds when “Hook, after having Emma return his heart, will now have to fight to protect Emma’s heart.” From what, I/we can only wonder….
I’m going to be different and say that while the heart could be Gold’s or Emma’s… I’m going to say it’s Henry’s heart 😛 Henry has the heart of the truest believer which must mean it has powerful magical effects or something. Henry’s heart is GOLDEN afterall. Maybe when they say that Hook will protect Emma’s heart, they mean Henry. Since henry is her son, she loves him, all that jazz. I mentioned in the other thread that when Cora tried to take Emma’s heart, it didn’t work so I don’t see why it would now. Here’s a picture of his heart just because.

To weight up the options:
Henry’s Heart: is golden, and Henry is the Truest Believer, so maybe through his belief he can create new destinies for everyone? Regina put a protection spell on his heart however.
Emma’s Heart: Emma is supposed to be vessel of pure light magic. Maybe hers is golden too (and she passed this on to Henry)? Like it has been said, there has been some spoilers that Hook wanted to protect Emma’s heart (or was it keep?). However, not even Cora could remove it in Season 2 as her heart has an in-built protection mechanism
Gold: Without his heart, he will die. Perhaps he will try to change his heart to a better one?
Maybe chasing after Emma’s heart is a rouse, a distraction to trick people when what they really need is Henry’s heart? I can’t imagine that Regina would want to be part of using Henry’s heart in some way…he is her son. I am not sure if she would do that to Emma either. She is more likely to protect them, not use their hearts or kill them.
If it is Emma on Henry’s heart that Gold needs, I hope they show how he got around the protection mechanisms.
Due to Regina’s likely hood of not sticking with the team of villains to use either Henry’s or Emma’s heart (if it is dangerous), it could refer to Gold’s heart after all.
Unless Henry forgets his lesson from Neverland and does something silly and sacrifices his heart, or at least it’s power (while keeping the heart intact).

Will he? Rump is immortal… The dagger seems to be the only thing that can kill him. Heck, hook actually stabbed Rump in the heart and it had no effect. Maybe if rump took his heart out, crushed it, and perhaps used it in the spell to cleave himself from the dagger, the dagger would probably sustain him. Although he would probably become a WORSE person. But seeing as he is this seasons big bad, thats not a problem.

They tend not to give him centric episodes. Smart money is on Rumple. The writers also enjoy word play in titles, so Heart of (Mr.) Gold is right up their alley.

I’m going to be different and say that this episode could be about Belle. I think the “Gold” definitely refers to Rumple and Hook said that Belle was Rumple’s “Heart” in season 2. Perhaps this is the episode where Belle and Rumple actually come face to face again after the 4A finale.
