ParticipantOMG I LOVE this scene for so many reasons. Henry gets to be part of magic!!! The Author wants to communicate with him! The keyhole shaped light pointing to the key!!! I love it!
Finally, Henry has a plot of his own! Maybe…

ParticipantI may not be a mother, but I swear, if i were Regina, even the insinuation that Mal or Cruella would hurt Henry would mean i was snatching out somebody’s heart -____- forget about being a double agent, you don’t mess with mama bear’s cubs.

ParticipantThe scene seemed pretty straightforward to me.
Henry saw the light coming from the door and found the key, (which I must admit was pretty cool, despite how random it was that he was sitting where he was). He found the key and slipped it into his pocket just in time before the others saw (because convenient timing is convenient). Then he handed over the page, knowing that he had to play along in order to protect himself and his mother, but also knowing she would do her utmost to undermine the badguys while only pretending to work with them, (her threatening the others was a sign to Henry that she was still on his side despite what was happening). And he was able to hand the page over because he knew it’d do them no good because he had the key, which they don’t even know they need.
I’m glad Henry’s finally getting something to do.

Me too. But sadly I think it’s not going to last. He handed over part 1 of the PLOT to his mother. He’ll give part 2 (key) to Mama Regal or Mama Swan and then vanish quietly back into the background until needed again

ParticipantI think it is real. He knows she is still on his side by her eyes.
At 30 I still get Megan Eileen occasionally.

ParticipantFunny how we all see this same snippet but perceive it differently. I assumed that Regina addressed Henry with a fake middle name. I also assumed he gave her a fake picture and this is where Regina takes the ladies on a wild goose chase.
Assuming for a minute that Henry’s middle name is not Daniel, what other middle name do you think Regina would have given him? My guess is that Henry has no middle name.

If she didn’t give him the name Daniel, then he doesn’t have one. Henry Sr and Daniel were the only two people Regina ever truly loved.

ParticipantAww, Henry sounded…like such a teenager with that dropped-voice “whoa”. I felt like the whole scene seemed like a ruse between Henry and Regina to fool Cruella and Mal. I’m fairly certain Henry’s in on the entirety of the plan; otherwise, the bonding experience that Operation…ugh, Mongoose gives Henry and Regina (and that I think is equally or even more important to Regina than finding Robin) is totally destroyed.
Totally agree with those who said David & Snow’s experiences were different and showed different “Emmas” were based on Snow & David projecting what the expected, or wanted, to see. Snow has to see Emma as evil, because otherwise she’d have to deal with the guilt I’m sure she feels by doing what they did to Mal. I think what Snow and David need to realize is that everyone is born with the potential to be good or evil, whether that person is Emma or Mal’s child. I think Emma will be tempted, but she and the others around her will have to learn that ‘evil isn’t born, it’s made’ and sooner than later she’ll come around before becoming fully enveloped in the dark.
