October 4, 2015 at 9:00 pm #309105WickedRegalParticipant10/10!!! THIS EPISODE IS 10/10!!!!
“I should be finding a way to free Merlin, not foxtrotting my way through Club Camelot.” – Regina
BEST LINE SO FAR THIS SEASON TO ME!!!
I quite loved this episode…
Regina and Zelena’s snark at the beginning.
Dark Swan….JMo is slaying!
That Dance between Regina and David while a beaming Snow watches….ah the mother in law and son in law dance, how Samantha would have loved for Darrin and Endora to do that! LOL
ALL MY FREAKING OUTLAWQUEEN FEELS FROM CAMELOT TO STORYBROOKE!!!!
Regina calling Rumple out on his crap!!!!
Underworld Hints…..ummm….Hades as the villain in S5B anyone?
David encouraging Henry to go talk to Viola….awwww. And I see Henry’s got game!!!!
BUT OUTLAWQUEEN!!!!
“Whose that girl talking to my son?” – Regina
I KNEW IT!!!! Regina’s going to be somewhat of a monster-in-law for her daughter-in-law!
Lana Parrilla’s Queen of Hope Trending worldwide at number one!!!!
But That Ballroom Scene…..Robin rushing forward to save his woman, and taking a stab wound. Regina desperation, Emma saving Robin, Rumple tempting Emma!!!!
Hook and Belle Drinking Buddies Now!!!
THAT FAMILY MOMENT WHERE SNOW & DAVID STAND BY REGINA AGAINST THE FURRIE!!! CHARMILLS FEELS!!!! EVERYONE BELIEVING IN REGINA…. ALL MY FEELS!
AND ROLAND!!! CINNAMON ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND JMO…DARK SWAN AGAIN!!!! THAT “MICHAEL MYERS” WALK AT THE END OF THE EPISODE! And we finally learn that Emma’s goal is to pull the sword from the stone, and reunite the sword with the dagger…what’s going to happen once she does I wonder.
Dislike:
Umm….Grumpy…at the beginning about Emma taking down half of your villains…ummm….not in a while. Ice Queen sacrificed herself because of the letter from her sister. Regina took down Zelena. Rumple took down Pan. Emma mainly handled the Queens of Darkness.
I’m still…umm…Shady Arthur and Guinevere…I just sense shade.

October 4, 2015 at 9:01 pm #309106RumplesGirlKeymasterOh goodness…*no*
This episode was rather…not good. Sort of like really bad fanfiction: complete with the ball and modern music piping in over head as the many happy couples twirl their way around the dance floor and ending with lots of make out sessions over recently healed bodies! Oh, and the baiting of many ships, canon and not. Naturally.
Oof.
Okay, obviously not a big fan of most of this but a few bullet points
LIKED
–The town line scene was funny. (but tree….why?)
–Greek mythology. Ah, yes. Hello comfort zone! (that was totally Charon in the boat)
–While JMo is totally hamming it up in most of these scenes, it works on a campy and ridiculous level.
–Guinevere’s purple dress is really pretty.
–Sorry but….no TLK. I found this thrilling.
–Some of the dwarf and Granny dialogue
MIXED
–Most of the outfits were “eh” this week. I like Emma’s Dark One look but a lot of those ball gowns were downright icky. Also, Regina’s necklace was just full of no
DISLIKED
–This episode felt so utterly pointless. Like there was no point to the fury or the Underworld or Regina as ‘Savior” or the Ball. Robin getting stabbed was so random as was this whole “price.” It was all really fanfiction gone overboard.
–Emma has a stone in her closet with a sword. Sure, sure. It’s bigger on the inside!
–Snow and Charming are going to die with Regina. And leave their BABY INFANT an orphan. #ParentsOfTheYear
–The CGI of Camelot is terrible. Reallllllllly terrible.
–Henry does not need a crush. He needs a friend.
–So the Underworld is real? And we’re not going to talk about what this means myth or religious wise?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 4, 2015 at 9:08 pm #309112KebParticipantDisliked:
–The Charmings and their magic-price discount. Seems like a cop-out that their faith and hope gets them around having to pay the life-prices when other people aren’t so fortunate.
–Not showing Belle & Grumpy dancing, not even in the background. Come on, we only get to see romantic couples dance?
Liked:
–Belle’s explanation for the TLK failures with Rumple…it actually made even more sense than my headcanon, though it wasn’t far off. Also, I’ve only been waiting three seasons for that answer, yanno?
–Belle & Grumpy being friends! Like they should be!
–Regina saving Sneezy from stone at the end. That made me smile.
–Regina getting called out on her past, as she should be. Poor Percival though 🙁
–Henry and Violet were cute. Still not sure how I feel about it but they were cute. Echoes of 1st season stories (esp Snowing) with the music thing.
–Belle & Hook sharing their grief and hope together. I’m actually liking how their friendship has developed, strange as it sounds. It’s felt more organic than I expected it to, given their history.

October 4, 2015 at 9:14 pm #309115RumplesGirlKeymasterSo Emma’s Dark Magic can save people? How does that make sense? And why is the Dark Magic still white light?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 4, 2015 at 9:14 pm #309116KebParticipantYeah, I usually love all the clothes and they were pretty, but everyone but Gwen was wearing white. I would have preferred more variety. (My sister is watching S2 and she’s like, all these princesses look alike to me…how do you keep them apart? Well…dress them in different stuff, for a start…)

October 5, 2015 at 12:09 am #309166onceaholicParticipantGenerally liked this espisode except for a couple of things:
1) Okay so NOW magic actually comes with a price again? What was Snow and Charming’s price for their shared heart? Emma used a lot of magic in 4b, what was her price? And countless other examples of characters using magic with no price? (though I remember A and E said in an interview that the price for the shared heart would be addressed).
2) Wow, I think Snow should bet on the lottery because that is her second sucessful faith-based guess in two seasons! I felt that is was a bit of a cop out that they there were able to banish the the Fury by sharing it’s soul-sucking magic, and the reasons for the idea was a ”lucky guess”. And if was Snow’s guess that got rid of the Fury, then wouldn’t that make her the savior to Emma’s Dark One, rather than Regina or in addition to her? Anyway it should be back, right? When Robin is alone?
3) Robin looked weak. Again. I am all for girl-power and both partners saving each other, but given the the fact that he is supposed to be ROBIN HOOD I am getting a bit sick of Regina saving him and then mothering him afterwards. This time it is was understandable…he saved Regina then got swept up by the Fury but I always wonder when he will next be attacked and unable to defend himself again by some other person or creature.
Interesting that Regina referred to SB/LWM as ”our relm” to Arthur. Does it feel like home to her or did the memory wipe not include their decision in Camelot to not be honest about who they are and where they were originally from, I wonder.
Regina is my favorite character but I did like it when Emma called her out on always blaming someone else for her problems, and I liked it when Percevil called her out on her past actions as well. Sadly, Regina didn’t apologise to him, or maybe she didn’t get the chance. (Or she just didn’t do it because she hasn’t even apologised to Snow *properly* yet or anyone else for that matter).
I wonder where the Wraith takes souls then? To the Underworld too?

October 5, 2015 at 1:42 am #309176WickedRegalParticipantYeah….I’m uncomfortable with the whole Robin Hood is the damsel in their relationship….he may not have magic, but past season has shown he can stand his own ground against magic beings. I hope Adam and Eddy fix this soon.

October 5, 2015 at 2:18 am #309177GaultheriaParticipantCamelot had a lunar eclipse that night; the tilt was wrong for a regular crescent. Cool symbolism for Emma. (Yeah, it was probably just a design oversight, but it works.)
The person holding the dagger needs to be really careful about swearing.
