RUMPLE GIRL ….
–Merida’s back. And in jail? She seems so superfluous to this story. Really—she’s going to make someone brave??
.
.
RUMPLEGIRL …. DO you think EMMA saw the movie / dvd of the film BRAVE and that convinced her that MERIDA could teach RUMPLE ? ? ?
.
.
I know I am being bad but really this episode was a train wreck …
good acting but hopeless story line … NOT sure how I feel about it

Neal and everyone else in this episode did the same thing. Just opened the vault. That’s it. I’m just saying there are no set and logical rules in this show. Neal opened a vault and darkness came forth and he died. Everyone else opened a vault and darkness came forth (which HOW cause it was inside Rumple!!) and nothing happened.

He’s been known to do that sort of thing. BUT…it still felt off, and that’s me filling in holes. Not quite as plot-holey as their revision of what happened with Aurora, but still.
It’s possible that the entrance is within Camelot’s realm. After all, Merlin created the Dark One, and he’s associated with Camelot.

Not exactly. He used the key, which was specifically for resurrecting the Dark One. The rest of them never used the key at all. They instead touched three of the icons as some sort of combination. About the goo roaming around in the vault, I have two possible theories. Either Rumple used some of his goo as a way to protect the dagger, or the goo could be from previous Dark Ones who went to the vault after dying. If it’s a later, hypothetically Neal could have entered the vault the way everyone else did, but they still wouldn’t have been able to bring back Rumple if he was just a pile of goo. There would still be a life for a life cost in order to bring him back. Maybe more of this will be explained in a Dark One origin flashback, but I know that’s wishful thinking.

So a key instead of a key code. Well I feel all better now.
No, I get it. They are trying to say “totes different guys!” except it’s not. Not really. They don’t explain any of these differences. Why is the key used and not a key code? What is the key? what is the code? Why does X do A but Y can only do B? Because from a deconstructed, bare bones look they all opened the vault with some sort of key and there were only consequences for one party.
Yeah. I’m bitter. I know. But it’s also just bad storytelling.

THE kid that bullied him grew up to be SIR KAY … the knight that melted when he tied to pull out the sword from the stone… thus SIR KAY got his punishement.

Which, from a purist Arthurian mythology standpoint, is really problematic.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 18, 2015 at 11:12 pm #310261RumplesGirlKeymasterDid this episode have the most various timelines we’ve seen thus far in one episode?
1) Camelot of “Long Long Ago”—when Arthur/Guinevere were kids
2) Camelot of “Long Ago”–after Arthur pulled the sword but pre-obsession
3) Camelot of 5 years ago—the longer flashbacks of Arthur, Lance, and Guinevere (also…someone is going to have to explain the five years thing)
4) Camelot of 6 weeks ago–SB gang and Camelot gang
5) Present Day SB

AS for the five years…it matches up reasonably well if we assume it’s 5 years + 28 frozen in the curse. Camelot never went to Storybrooke (same it seems with Arendelle–the Curse was a lot less far-reaching than it appeared at first), so from their perspective it’s been 5 straight years.

Oh wow, I forgot about that one. Let’s see:
1) Snowing
2) Tink and Hook
3) Mary Margaret and Henry
4) Rumple and Belle
5) Present day SB
6) Flashforward to NYC one year later
Yup, you’re right.
