6×11: Promos (Spring Premiere–March)

A few thoughts from the new promo:

– “For others this may be the final chapter” *shows Gold* Are they prepping us for him to die/leave the show?

– Have Snowing figured out a way to Skype while under the sleeping curse?!? Or do they wake up and get separated again somehow?

– “War is coming to Storybrooke.” – An allusion to the “final battle” in the pilot, or just a dramatic throwaway line? It does look like their are warriors of some time coming…

– I would prefer at least a truncated seventh season, so they can tie up more loose ends, but they’re continue to portray this as possibly the final season. It has a very “culminating” feel. “After six seasons…”

If this was the final season, I feel like they would be promoting it by now as such.

I feel like it’s more “fire insurance.” As if ABC, the writers, the promo department, ect don’t actually know yet. So they need to prepare for any eventuality.

Not wanting to start the whole contract issue debate again, but watching the new Promo I got the vibe that ABC already know that some of the actors contracts won’t be getting renewed *if* the show gets picked-up for Season 7.

I honestly would not put much focus on this promo. It doesn’t give any vibes to me. For one the GA knows what is supposed to happen when Emma faces Gideon and as we see in the promo there’s the sword fight happening. We know what is supposed to happen during the fight, and clearly they’re promoting it as such.

Meanwhile Robin and Regina is placed over the happy endings portion and we all know already that is not going to happen.

So I would not put much stock in anything this promo shows, honestly. It’s just getting people excited for the return in 3 weeks.

I agree. The promos are usually full of crap, so i am not sure how much stock we can put into them. I swear the people who make them don’t actually watch the show. I would really like it if some sort of war actually came to Storybrooke, but nothing like that ever happens. A sword fight, maybe some fireballs thrown, is the most we ever get and then it is over.

Again with the “final chapter” feel. Maybe I should change my prediction for the finale title to a two parter: The Final Chapter/ A New Beginning (because they love themselves some Star Wars)

IDK what it is about Lana’s acting this season as TEQ but aside from maybe once scene it’s been mostly cringeworthy.
