Jamie Dornan was a guest star. It is also possible that Adelaine Kane did not want to be a regular because she didn’t want the show to have control of her availability. She just came off a long stint on a show, so maybe she didn’t want to get sucked fully into a new show so quickly.

Sean Maguire was a guest star for both Seasons 3 and 4, and yet appeared several times throughout those entire Seasons. So a similar case could happen with Adelaide Kane.

8.5/10 for this one, as it was Regina-centric and answered a lot of questions.
LIKES
-The episode confirmed that time moves faster in the Realm-at-the-Edge-of Realms than it does in LWM.
-We found out why Ivy was trying to get between Jacinda and Henry (that she needs the curse to continue so that her mother suffers more…which is something that I postulated last week here on this board).
-I felt more of a connection between adult Henry and Regina
-I felt more of a connection between adult Henry and Jacinda
-I like how Regina was identified as a hero.
-OMG a new fav. among Regina’s costumes!!!!
-Overall a very emotional episde, and in many ways I really felt for Drizella because her need to become dark was strong.
DISLIKES:
-Didn’t Lucy know who Roni really was from the first episode? I’m very confused.
-Land without magic, but just enough for Ivy to do what she needs to do. How convenient that the witch in the tower was able to create that potion using magic. (The other example of magic perhaps was the gravestones appearing, though this could have been done manually, too). This witch must be a strong believer or something.
-Ivy didn’t need to leave the photo in the locker. She simply could have had Roni drink the potion once it was made.
-Does Alice actually have a clear answer for Hook about where Eloise Gardner is? All she did was offer him a simple piece of advice.
-We have confirmation of time moving differently, but the lack of reaction between mother and son over time passing (or not passing) was very strange. Still, it was not the actors’ fault, it was that of the writers.
OBSERVATIONS
-I was correct about Ivy casting the curse and her motivation for doing so: revenge. Bit disappointing, though.
-I was correct about Weaver helping others to wake up now that he is awake, but I was hoping he would do it without deals (hoping that he had moved forward in his character development).
PONDERINGS
-Drizella learned dark magic way too quickly, and she said that she was born with magic. Her poof cloud was also the same color as Regina’s. I am starting to believe the popular theory that Drizella is other!Regina’s daughter who may have been born in the Wish Realm, and that for some reason Tremaine adopted her as a baby (either the baby or Tremaine crossed realms). It is also possible that despite other! Regina’s efforts to rob from the rich to give to the poor and helping to save all the magical realms from disappearing into nothing did nothing to prevent wish!Henry from still persuing her, and maybe she escaped to the Realm-on-the-Edge-of-Realms, or put baby Drizella in a portal to the Realm-at-the-Edge-of Realms while allowing wish! Henry to capture her. Also, many TL babies might have an inclination towards magic, and let’s face it, Regina and Drizella do indeed look like each other.
-Last week, I made a possible connection between the 8 points on the rune, and the 8 points on the medal that held the ruby and the 8 points on a compass (and the compass points for Oz). I have also now just realized that a ship’s wheel also has 8 knobs. Maybe the medal need to be used with the ship’s wheel and/or the table at which Oz’s witches sit or needs to be activated by the 8th witch to lead wish! Hook to his daughter.
However, in this episode, it was described as a protective. Perhaps it is protecting the gate to the tower (of Babylon?) that wish! Hook’s daughter is in, or a door to a realm that the tower. I say Babylon because according to bible lore(?) the 8 pointed star first came out of Babylon.
-I am now curious to find out why wish!Hook’s was trapped in the tower in the first place. There is something about her that makes her special. If the eighth witch is not Robyn, then perhaps it is Hook’s daughter?
-Other option for the 8th Witch is now Drizella.
Keeper of Regina's bravery
November 12, 2017 at 3:22 am #344418onceaholicParticipantAlso, now that Regina is awake, what is their explanation for why she wouldn’t just call Emma, Snow, and Charming?
Maybe she can’t while Hyperion Heights is still cursed?
Because this might wake up Henry (and Jacinda), and their TLK will kill them and everyone else in Hyperion Heights.

🙂 Welcome!
Yeah I’m puzzled by this too. I’m afraid she’s not a series regular because they’re going to kill her off soon.
The Big Bad almost always dies at the end of the arc so I’d say chances are good that Drizella is gonna die/be vanquished/vanish at the end of this first half.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 12, 2017 at 10:11 am #344423hjbauParticipantWell, this is the first season, and the first season big bads of regular Ouat are still lingering like a plague on this show, so who knows. Drizella is part of the family, so it could go either way. I do think the fact that she isn’t a regular does beg that question though.
Also, i think that if Henry and Jacinda were awake then it would go a long way to stopping them from kissing. Calling Emma, Snow, and Charming would not make it more likely that they would kiss. They could also offer help on whatever catastrophic thing will happen if this curse is broken, which i am sure will be easily fixable. Also, if a bunch of people who look just like the drawings in Henry’s book started showing up saying they were Emma, Snow, and Charming, that it might go a long way to helping with his belief. Though, i don’t really think that Henry actually made the drawings, i think that book and the story that no one bought it is a product of the curse, just like all the other memories.
Obviously, none of that is going to happen though because the actors don’t want to be on the show. It doesn’t really make a lot of sense though. That is why i keep thinking something must have happened to everyone and they are somehow trapped somewhere, in that storybook, because otherwise they should be called.

That’s a good point. I’m hoping they don’t go that predictable, easy route. Drizella is just too much fun.
November 12, 2017 at 3:31 pm #344426ry4christParticipantJamie Dornan was a guest star.
Jamie Dornan was actually billed as “Starring” for 1×01 – 1×07. It’s strange, but you can check the wiki.
November 12, 2017 at 3:52 pm #344428hjbauParticipantJamie Dornan was not actually a regular. He was a guest star on all the press releases at the time. They were just trying to keep the fact that he was going to be killed off a secret by pretending he was a regular.
November 12, 2017 at 5:55 pm #344429nonnieParticipant–Drizella killing the random prince simply to turn her heart black is fairly weird. It kinda simply didn’t make sense because it’s not like it put an end to Tremaine and her plotting. Why not just kill Tremaine or Anastasia?
She stated that she did not want to be set up with the Prince, so she either had no feelings, or antagonist feelings, for him already. Even putting that aside: her goal is to psychological torture her mother over a long period of time, so killing her mother quickly is already out. While killing the Prince does thwart her mom to get closer to the centre of the Kingdom’s power, its will sooner or later be in the rear view mirror. While I wouldn’t say one ever gets over one daughter killing another even if they were willing to kill that daughter to save the other … Drizella killing Anastasia, even if she did not have any sisterly feelings left for Ana, doesn’t satisfy her urge to continually torment her mother with her torture regiment. Which presumably includes leaving Anastasia’s resurrection just out of reach for, oh, about a decade or so
IS it possible this is a rehash of SNOW QUEEN accidentally killing her sister? MAGIC GONE WRONG? Maybe the accident was caused by magic but looked like a normal accident caused by Cinderella so she gets the blame.
