Can someone remind me: did we ever learn why Jacinda wanted to kill the Prince from the first episode of the season?

It was North. As in Mombi. But in the books, there was indeed a WWS, before Glinda came along, so Hilda could be her.
Oz, while you have to use a portal or a cyclone to get to it, is part of the original Enchanted Forest realm.
While it IS part of the same universe, it is not in the same realm, as evidenced by its door in the Realm Jumper.
Maybe I was nodding off a bit during this episode, but did I hear Henry say that he and Jack (Hansel) slayed giants together? I thought the Giants were friendly! Is that where all these magic beans come from? Henry murdered Tiny 2.0 and all his brothers to get an endless sackful of magic beans to share out amongst the season seven cast? Not ok.
It’s also not ok with me the way Rumple keeps getting blackmailed into doing stuff using Belle’s death. Does anybody on this show have an any sympathy?
I also didn’t like when ‘Kelly’ (like Regina before her) refers to herself in the third person and acts like Zelena was a different person than she is and it’s so unfair that she should have to pay for ‘her’ mistakes. Why do Mills women have so much trouble taking responsibility for their own actions?

I had the same reaction. I’m surprised Henry was so willy-nilly okay with mass murder to get his beans. (The thing is that we could be missing parts of the story like the giants were terrorizing a town and weren’t at all like Tiny but…the way it was written it came across like Henry and Jack killed all the giants simply because it was an adventure)

Where I live, taking responsibility for their kind of actions would mean saying “Please incarcerate me for a minimum of 25 years, and probably for the rest of my life”. I agree that they should say that, but I can guess that it would be a hard thing for even a person with a conscience to say.

I, also, thought the whole mass murder of the giants that was glossed over was a bit much in light of the whole Tiny episode and what we know about the giants so far. We haven’t actually met any bad giants, right? I think it was just a throw away line, so that they could say jack the giant killer and that was sort of the end of it.
I’m with the majority of people on here…..I quite enjoyed this episode. 8/10. For me, it is second to Beauty this season. Were there flaws? Absolutely. But the character moments for Zelena were absolutely spot on -present day and past. This was a great episode for a character I used to care nothing about.
Anyone talk about the low key backstory to how the wicked witch became blind? I thought that was kind of cool. But…here’s the thing, if we are in Oz 1.0, and that is the witch and hansel and gretel as kids, how are they still kids in season 1 when the witch is blind? Is this a totally different witch and different hansel and gretel? I know the witch is different casting but bc it seemed like somewhat of an origin story for her, telling us how she became blind, and since it didn’t take place in Wish Realm, aren’t we supposed to believe these are the original characters from season 1?

Yes, totally different witch and totally different Hansel and Gretel. I wish I could figure out when this H/G story happened given that Henry and Jack are the same age, or there about, I guess it happened when time started moving again in SB/EF 1.0/Oz 1.0 after Emma decided to stay in SB waaaaay back in S1

Right, but how are they different? Like I get the wish realm has our characters but they are different (Nook, EQ etc.). But if this is Oz 1.0, which was occurring during EF 1.0, how can they be different versions of themselves? They have to be the same right? Again, if this was EF 2.0 or Wish Realm it would “make sense” but with it being Oz 1.0, I don’t get how there would be the same characters but different versions of themselves in realms that were affected by the same curse….they just happened at different points on the time line. Does that make sense? Now I’m confusing myself I think lol….
