I was thinking about how in the pilot when Charming kissed Snow at the coffin there is like this wave that flows out from them. My thought was that that may have been an activation of a spell taking away the magic in the world. This would fit with the idea that Rumpel is trying to take away the magic of the world and also is dependent on the idea that they are going to show the kiss in the coffin again in Ep 22.[adrotate group="5"]March 23, 2012 at 10:53 pm #139576miaParticipant
But the Dark curse was enacted after that. If magic had gone, it wouldn’t have been able to be enacted in the first place.
The idea that that coffin kiss was speacial is good. In comparison with all other true love’s kisses (like in Heart of Darkness) there have been no weird wave flowing miles aways …March 23, 2012 at 11:22 pm #139577
Well magic could have came back since then. I have a new theory that maybe just like the wave goes away from the coffin in fairytale at the kiss that a similar wave will wash over everyone in Storybrooke after Emma does whatever she is going to do that breaks the curse and everyone will remember. There are these pictures. And you can see Granny and Ruby in a wind like. Maybe everyone remembers.March 24, 2012 at 2:23 am #139582Daniel J. LewisKeymaster
I’m thinking of moving this out of the spoilers section, since neither of you have actually shared spoilers, just hypothesizing based on the title.March 24, 2012 at 2:33 am #139586
Or maybe it is opposite. Maybe everyone forgets again or gets reset instead of everyone remembering. I wonder if when Snow and Charming remember and kiss as themselves then everyone else remembers, but it is Emma who helps the two of them remember. I will be very surprised if everyone remembers by the end of the season. That would be crazy.
You can move the thread. I just thought it would get too spoilerish so i put it in here.March 24, 2012 at 3:14 am #139590
There was this article about something happening in the finale that would be huge and effect everyone in town.
Still, the curse may be affected in other ways as the producers plan to call back to the premiere’s pivotal clock-ticking moment in the finale. “It’s huge,” Pearlman says of the season-ender. “It’s quite large in typical Lost fashion. With Emma coming to town in the pilot, she got the clock to start ticking, which started to affect everybody in the town in different ways. In the season finale, there will be something that will happen that will affect everybody in the town.”April 3, 2012 at 5:53 pm #140801snowredParticipant
I think A Land Without Magic Refers to everyone remembering who their FTL character is but there will be no magic since they are stuck in SB/ real world. I have a feeling that Emma MUST really believe and embrace this in order to break the curse completely. I also feel that every time Emma has a tiny bit of belief someone remembers something, for example during Hat Trick Emma was playing Jefferson when she said “that could be my mother in there” However, I think she believed it a little (or really wanted to) Just enough to awaken MM’s Kicking skills. I could be wrong of course but it seems to me that Emma BELIEVING = KeyApril 3, 2012 at 9:52 pm #140841
I totally think that Emma believed it a little bit. She was looking through the book trying to find a way to help Mary in this episode.April 12, 2012 at 12:11 am #141843SnickerdoodleParticipant
I am thinking from the spoilers that everyone remembers. And I have considered the reset idea. But what if everyone remembers, but Emma leaves, or is somehow sent to another land. What might be the repercussions of her leaving on the people of SB? Things could reset, or perhaps they have to figure out a way to save her…
Jefferson said she was magic, so maybe if she leaves, they are left in a land without “magic”. 😥April 12, 2012 at 1:52 am #141854enchantedoneParticipant
sjm I agree with you…that is exactly how I see things going down…in the end she will loose her parents all over again…or leave to protect them.
