The Golden Globes did not do the ratings any favors. Galavant got a 0.6 and 2.41 total viewers. To add insult to injury, CBS and FOX beat us, too. FOX in particular got a nice boost from its NFL lead:

I hope it doesn’t do any lower for its remaining 3 weeks, and maybe it could even go back up a tad bit. As I said before, the worst possible scenario is that it does so low, ABC doesn’t let it finish its run.

If that happens, I’ll be homicidal. Just let it finish. Please just let it finish.

Aside from AFV, Galavant is literally the only Sunday premiere ABC has for January. Not to mention its premieres are still doing better than Quantico’s reruns, which are getting 0.3’s. Oh, and AFV didn’t do much better this week, with a 0.8. So yes, it would make the most sense to just let the show play out and finish.
January 11, 2016 at 5:08 pm #314942MatthewPaulModeratorPress release is out for the finale. Since its the finale, I’ll spoiler tag this one:
AS THE BATTLE BETWEEN THE THREE KINGDOMS BEGINS,
WILL ANYONE GET THEIR HAPPILY EVER AFTER?
ON THE SEASON FINALE OF ABC’S “GALAVANT”
“Battle of the Three Armies” and “The One True King (To Unite Them All)” Air Sunday, January 31
“Battle of the Three Armies”– In their war against Valencia, all hope seems lost for Isabella and the people of Hortensia until Galavant arrives with his zombie army. Meanwhile, Gareth abandons Madalena after he realizes that she betrayed him and is learning (and using) the Dark Dark Evil Way on “Galavant,” airing SUNDAY, JANUARY 31 (8:00–8:30 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.
“The One True King (To Unite Them All)” – Under Madalena and Wormwood’s spell, the zombie army revolt against Galavant and company, until Sid arrives with an unlikely army of his own. Galavant, Gareth, and Sid’s army battle the Zombies while Isabella fights Madalena. Meanwhile, Richard goes after Wormwood, who attacks Tad Cooper, which provokes Richard to perform a (nearly) heroic act. Elsewhere, Gareth tries to reason with Madalena, but she is driven to learn how to use her newly acquired dark magic. At the end of the day, who will get their happily ever after on “Galavant”? The episode airs SUNDAY, JANUARY 31 (8:30–9:00 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.
“Galavant” stars Joshua Sasse as Galavant, Timothy Omundson as King Richard, Vinnie Jones as Gareth, Mallory Jansen as Madalena, Karen David as Isabella and Luke Youngblood as Sid. The ten-episode series will run each Sunday night for five-consecutive weeks.

That’s the ultimate question. Casuals are missing out on a great show. I too enjoyed tonight’s episodes, and I agree with you about “My Dragon Pal and Me” being a huge highlight. Definitely my favorite of tonight’s songs, closely followed by the West Side Story parody song during the Giants vs. Dwarfs battle.
