I still think August is either Bae and / or Peter Pan related OR August is Pinocchio. He cannot be both. Being Bae and Pinocchio is implausible to me, makes no sense.
Since we see so much of him in the spoilers for “The Return” and we also know it has to do with the Rumple / Bae back story, I feel a strong urge to believe he is Bae.
On a side note, I have never ever thought soooo much about a TV program. It is such a nice treat to have a TV show be stimulating and thought provoking. Who knew it was possible. The last show I loved was Twin Peaks and that was on like 20 years ago. LOL!!!!

People can’t leave, at least not until the Curse is broken. If they can’t leave they can’t come back, and he clearly came from otuside the town.
Anotehr blow to Pinochio Pan, He would need to be either ten years old or near his fifties. We saw Pinocchio in the pilot as a ten eyar old and Pan can’t be too far behind. Even if Gepetto, Tinkerbell or [insert other relatively minor magical character here} made a loophole, they would nromally age as Emma did.

As far as I can tell I don’t think Regina did a lot of socializing with the Gepetto family so I can’t imagine that she would have seen Pinocchio often enough that when the non-wooden adult version rolled into town on a motorcycle and she only saw him briefy from a distance she thought he seemed familiar. For him to seem familiar would imply that she knew him well enough that his mannerisms and persona in general would seem familiar from a distance in a short period of time. I also can’t imagine that she spent a lot of time with a flying boy who didn’t ever want to grow up.
It would seem that we are looking for a family member, close friend, or someone who spent a great deal of time around the EQ. For some reason I keep coming back to wondering if August is somehow EQ’s father. What if using his heart somehow gave him the ability to to come back as another person? Based on the preview for the next episode it could explain why he could be mad enough to want to kill Gold. First Gold was the one who basically told Regina she needed to kill him, but more importantly if Cora was the Miller's daughter and somehow got her power from deals with Rumple I would think that he would blame Rumple for the way his daughter turned out.

April 5, 2012 at 12:35 am #140979enchantedoneParticipantI have noticed that August seems to have a fascination with water…he has ordered it at Grannys a few times, taken Emma to the well…and gave her a speach on how magical it is…I am wondering if his “shin splints” was in reaction to seeing or smelling the water. When he sucked in his breath he sounded to me like he was feining or something weird like that…Then he walked towards the water and turned his back on it a second, and looked at Emma like he wanted to see if she caught his reaction. Maybe he is King Triton or from the Little Mermaid…EQ said he “seemed familiar” which means she had to have met him before.
I agree that all signs point to him being Pinnochio or Bae…which makes me doubtful that he is those charectors. I also saw posted that his lisence plate when he first got into town was from Kansas…maybe he is from OZ. He did talk about Monkeys…Made me think about the kind that can fly…wonder if he has seen those before. LOL…maybe he is the Tin Man and needs his joints oiled up…LOL…

Love both of those ideas. Of course if August were Tin Man, would he be needing a heart? 😉April 5, 2012 at 5:39 am #141006miaParticipantHe could also be the Wizard of Oz. Wasn’t he a man who came to the land of Oz from our world? If he is maybe he also visited FTL and met Regina there or the other way around …

The Pinocchio theory hinges on him having escaped the curse, meaning he aged normally in our world, outside of Storybrooke. For what it’s worth, the age of the actor who plays August is 35, which is Emma’s age (28) + the age of the boy who found her by the roadside (7).
