I do believe we will all have the question of who August is in the next two episodes. Regardless of which character he is, what is most important is how much of a help will he be to Emma and Henry. We have only seen a little bit of him here and there. It will only be a surprise about who he is but I think the real shocker will be how much of an asset he will be. The writers know what they are doing when it comes to the character of August. Who he is to me has now become less important compared to how much he can do or even what he is capable of. Any thoughts of this?
This is a red herring in a red herring.[adrotate group="5"]I agree. I think it is less important who he is at this point and more important as to how he is going to impact the plot. Like is he going to be an ally of Emma. And how is he going to help her. He seems to be trying to help her believe now, but will there be more to him then that? Like is he going to be a source of information or what?
Right exactly. He is a wild card right now. At least we know where Mr. Gold and Regina are coming from but we have no idea what August’s angle is. He is like a Dr. Whale but at least we can say his more on Regina’s side when August could still burn Emma and Henry. Michael Corleone said, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer…”. It can also mean the people closest to you are more likely to burn you than a stranger. The best way to do that is befriend them so they do not expect it for the maximum damage. So who he is, is the least of the worries here. What’s his game, what’s is angle? Is he a friend or foe? What is in it for him to break the curse? and why does he care so much? These are the questions I want to know. I am not concerned with who he is.
I’d have thought that those two questions go hand in hand. Surely his identity will govern his motivations and loyalties.
Not neccessarily. If August is Pinnochio, I believe he will be with Emma all the way to the end. Let’s say he is Baelfire…..I think he’ll be a friend long enough to get close to Gold and kill him of have her kill him. In other words, I’m not so sure where Baelfire would stand. If he is one of the authors, he may not help anybody. He’ll just be there to write everything down.
Yeah, you are right. Who he is will govern his loyalty definitely. It will make him for, against or neutral.
