I don’t think Emma is a baby in the fairytale land. It is just that the events that they are showing us this season in the fairytale land are in these characters past. I don’t think that Emma is being held in stasis in the fairytale land. They showed her disappear from the wardrobe and we have seen a clipping that says she appeared on the side of the road in the real world so it is like a timeline of events, but still a normal events. Like there aren’t two Emma’s one in the real world as an adult and one as a baby in fairytale land.
I actually think that fairytale land ceased to exist when the curse happened because it seemed like the castle was breaking up around them.

In the episode with the sinkhole we see SW’s glass coffin broken and at the bottom of the elevator shaft when Regina drops the piece back down. FTL is destroyed. Not that the writers couldn’t somehow reverse the curse and restore it, but for now there seem to be pieces of it all over and under and around SB.
As for August, I am not a Pinnochio theorist, but it will not ruin the show for me if the writers do a good job connecting it up, and I would say that so far they have not disappointed me. “Dreamy” was probably my least favorite episode, but it wasn’t really connecting anything up for me, either.
The one thing about August’s leg that I think would be kind of neat, is that maybe outside of SB August could live a normal life as a boy/man, but by coming back to SB to help Emma, he is affected by the curse now and is turning back into wood. He needs Emma to believe to keep him from becoming wood again. Crackpot theory, I know, but it would/wood be interesting 🙂 I still want to see if Emma can leave SB. I think she is stuck there now that she has arrived.

The dark smokey tornado will vanish and the sun will come out. Prince Charming will get back on his feet with his sword wound having healed miraculously. And the cupboard door will fly open and there will be baby Emma, cooing as if no time has passed and no harm was done. Her perfect innocence will symbolize the restoration of “happy ever after”.

Oh my gosh…that would mean no Henry either and that would seriously piss me off…The kid who put it all together not existing would be beyond sad…

I’ve been wondering about this too. I thought there might be a similar story to the mad hatter’s hat like same number of people who enter SB is the same number that has to leave. Emma came with Henry so someone else would have to be with her to leave. Although that wouldn’t explain how Henry left by himself and then came back with Emma :/

That would be quite the bummer to end the show with!
I’m in the camp that thinks FTL got pretty much obliterated. With my (current) theory that Rumple made the curse with the purpose of ending all magic, it wouldn’t make sense if he designed it so that it’d send them all back to a magical land when the curse was broken.

Everyone thinks August is Pinnochio, Bae everyone but what clues are pointing to us which are right in front of our very eyes. Remember these guys use to write for Lost and this is not their first rodeo when it comes to throwing us a curve ball…..red herring for those who rather use a tv reference rather than a baseball one. For all we care this could be a red herring in a red herring…..he may end up being Pinnochio or both. It is plausible that he is both and we are all right.

Never saying who he truly was at first, Ragina not knowing him but feeling like he was familiar just like Dorothy waking up from her dream, “and you, and you, and you were there, but you couldn’t have been, could you?” The license plate from Kansas, trying to make Emma believe in magic like the wizard faking magic behind the curtain. “I AM THE GREAT and powerful…wizard of Oz.” (ashamed look). The wizard also wanted to help people and August is Un StoryBrooke to help Emma, or so he says.
Wizard of Oz until price wrong. 🙂April 14, 2012 at 5:21 am #142152angiebelleParticipantI’m not fond of the Oz theory. I don’t think it would be very good storytelling to have August be a character from a story that we haven’t even touched on yet…..there’s no logic to that- it’s too random. If we see Oz characters later in the series, they deserve their own introduction.
