Read it but not convinced… First it didn’t exactly seem like a big enough hint to be what the producers were referring to. Second, they made some really obvious hints about August being Pinnochio but nobody wanted to buy that theory either because they all wanted to believe he was Bae, at least on this forum it seemed like everytime someone suggested that theory and no I never did, noone wanted to believe it and thought he was either Baelfire or the writer..I just think the hatter sign was to obvious a clue to be overlooked so I think it has to have something to do with wonderland…Until this episode I wanted him to be Bae, I just can’t see the writers letting any info leak out about the Bae plotline especially if he is Henry’s father which I really want to happen. However, I can see them pulling another August and giving obvious clues about who the “new” stranger is, but making him look like what could possibly be an adult Bae just so everyone would assume he is Bae and then have him turn out to be someone else that there were clues about. Then after that reveal I would show who Bae really is in the very next episode so that the fans would stop screaming bloody murder..I really want him to be Bae I just feel like we could be getting set up again…

What bothers me though, is why would they give the White ribbat such an important introduction as the opening scene? I mean in a lot of ways it mirrors what we saw of Emma in the first epp.
October 3, 2012 at 5:12 am #155229zlfh4Participantif he is not Bae my guess is since they have already said we will meet henry’s father, though I am not sure if they ever said we would meet bae, but because everyone wants to think that they are the same they are playing it off like he is..They gave August a pretty big intro too but then he just turned out to be Pinocchio…Of course I hate to say this because I want Bae to be henry’s father the white rabbit could be henry’s father. if you remember there was a white rabbit on emma’s car that was pointed out in the pilot.. I don’t know how the plotline would work with that, and I definetely like Bae better but it is a possibility which would explain why he would get such a big intro

You promised Once Upon a Time scoop on the fate of Pinocchio and how Prince Charming and Snow White would take back their kingdom! — Joseph
NATALIE: And I will keep my word! This season’s third episode will feature a fairy-tale land flashback to Snow and Charming’s post-reunion plan — and there will be familiar faces helping them along the way. “We’ve seen their war council,” executive producer Adam Horowitz says. “Snow’s got a really great relationship with Red, and I think that is a story we want to tell.” Horowitz also promises that August’s fate — whether he’s dead now because he went all wooden — will be explained in this Sunday’s episode, but fear not because Eion Bailey has already returned to filming this season!I’m not really interested in the Snowing spoiler as I am the August spoiler. I’m just going to put it out there that I think August’s return ties in with the Mysterious Man somehow.
First, we know that MR-J isn’t in episode 2, 3, 4, and likely 5 because it’s Dr. Whale’s episode unless he gets a quick scene at the end to set up episode 6. Of course, I don’t know for sure that he’ll be in episode 6, but I would almost bet real money at this point that he will be. It’s the big Emma-centric episode. There’s reliable spoilers that this is where we finally learn who the baby daddy is. Plus, we’re suppose to learn a lot more about the Mysterious Man before the mid-season break. Since it’s likely we won’t learn that much in episode 7 because MR-J isn’t even around right now shooting it, and because it’s a Ruby-centric episode, that means that 6, 8, and/or 9 have to be where we find out more about him.
Second, I’m not sure if Pinocchio did send Mysterious Man the postcard. I think that he could have before he turned to wood completely thinking that it may have been his last chance to save himself if he could bring the real Bae there by lying to him about the Curse being broken. Or maybe he’s a living puppet that sent it.
I do think that they know each other somehow because obviously I think Mysterious Man is Baelfire, and I think that Baelfire was the one that told August about Rumple’s dagger, and to fool Rumple into thinking that August was Bae by adding intimate details like to call Rumple, “papa” and the drawing of what the Dagger looked like. Sure it’s possible that the Blue Fairy was involved, but I think her meeting with August was just a red herring perhaps suggested by Bae to August to fool Rumple even more into believing August was Bae, because I think only Bae would have known some of the details that August knew about.
While I’m not sure Bae will actually return to Storybrooke in the first half of the season anymore after finding out that residents of Storybrooke will lose their memories if they do venture outside city limits, and knowing that the favor that Emma still owes Rumple will be a factor this year, I do think we’ll learn more about him before the mid-season break through his connection with August.

October 3, 2012 at 9:04 am #155244SlurpeezParticipantOh, I’m so excited for that newest spoiler! First, we get to see more of Red's backstory (ep. 7) and possibly how she met the wizard who gave her the red cloak. Also, get to see what happened to August/Pinocchio. 🙂 I think the clip of MRJ in 2×1 could’ve been a glimpse of what will happen in the future, not necessarily what has already happened. Adam and Eddy might have intentionally put that clip in to keep us guessing about his identity, but that event might not take place sequentially until episode 6 or later. That way, August really could be the sender of the mysterious postcard, now that we know Eion will reprise the role.

Ooh, good point, after all they are being very much like “Lost”, so it’s definitely a possibility that the mysterious postcard didn’t get sent right after Emma kissed Henry but weeks or perhaps months later by August when he was finally able to send one out. I did think of another possibility that the postcard happened earlier in time like when August first knew that Emma had went to Storybrooke and that he was then breaking due to that, but the producers said that magic affected the real world after it was unleashed, so the postcard must be what they’re referring to.
October 3, 2012 at 1:41 pm #155266TheGoldenKeyParticipantI still think Jefferson sent that postcard. If not Jefferson than the Blue Fairy or Henry (on AWB’s behalf). I think AWB is still a wooden man somewhere and eventually Marcus & Archie will find him. Once the Blue Fairy regains her magic, I’m sure she’ll deem his efforts of trying to get Emma to believe, as being valiant, good and noble and revert him back to human form.
Have to say though, that opening scene was the best for me in that episode. Still humming Charley’s Girl 🙂 Love MRJ!!!
