Another male Oncer right here. Because of the love stories it’s quite common for this TV show to be considered as female-oriented, which doesn’t surprise me at all. However there are also dragons, mystery, fights, monsters, etc. Because of all that, there is a perfect balance inside the show if it’s looking for different kinds of audiences. And the main actresses are so attractive/hot. (btw, Jennifer Morrison was my very first reason to became interested in Once).

My husband watches it and enjoys it- he just doesn’t feel the need to analyze it so he doesn’t hang out on the boards. We have 2 sets of couple friends who watch it as well. The husband in one set loves to discuss the show with me- I often have to remind him that our spouses don’t always want to hear the spoilers! Oh, and my dad is a big fan too. 🙂

This is an excellent call out! I’m a nerd (and proud), If I found a fellow (dude) Oncer, I would be psyched.

Actually, it was myself that got my wife and son hooked on the show. The most unusual thing was that I rarely invest in a new serial TV show until after season 1 to see if it’s going to be renewed. OUAT came so highly referenced that I broke that rule and have not been let down yet.

My big brother sat down while I was rewatching season 1 on DVD and it was Skin Deep.

Now, stereotypically, my brother doesn’t look like the type who would watch a show like Once. He’s a ginormous trucker man, and he normally can’t stand fantasy movies/tv shows. But even though he started out mocking it, he was quickly absorbed and then had to watch the whole season! He sat on the couch after Skin Deep and was like, “Wow, I thought this show sounded stupid, but that was actually awesome!” He later said it was Robert Carlisle that hooked him with his epicness. After that, Red-Handed earned his devotion to Once because of Ruby. 😆 He thinks every episode should either be all about Rumpelstiltskin or Red. Now he texts me after new episodes to talk about it.

He also was huge into Gilmore Girls. 😀

I didn’t even know this thread existed. FYI for those who don’t know me from the chat room, I am definitely a male Oncer.

ok guys as you can see through my username i am obviously a male oncer. i love to watch the show and for most of the episodes i watched it with my brother and mom.

i am into all the characters but perhaps especially the males: Rumpelstiltskin, Captain Hook, Neal, and David especially are my favourites. Also I would have loved to see more adventures with Rumple and Jefferson but that is extremely unlikely as he is busy starring in my Captain America. I think this show truly has something to offer both genders (and yes i will admit that I was a disney fan before Once Upon a Time) Now I really need to see Lost but maybe I will wait till Once Upon a Time is over for good before i do that.

Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.

My friend [the original creator of this profile] was/is a male. I just use it more than he does (and keep telling him to make a new one for himself becuase I think I have established this as my own profile v_v thank u very much) so yeah, I’m sure there are plenty of male Oncers
