Since Snow now has a “Heat of Darkness” can she come back from murder? If so, how? Also, what hope is there for Regina, who presumably also has a giant black spot on her own heart?

Can true love bring you back from darkness? Is that why Regina hasn’t yet? Her true love died and she hasn’t opened herself up to other love? Rumple’s curse did break because of true love (until that horrid moment when he rejected Belle) and loving her has slowly been making him a better man. So does it come down to Charming and Emma to save Snow?

Rumple seemed to think it was possible, though his explanation wasn’t very reassuring to her. Or probably to him, either.

I think what Rumple said is probably the greatest answer. You have to tell yourself that it was the right thing at the time. Now like any person if she dwells on the past it can darken even the purest of hearts and will destroy her life. No matter what those around you say or do it is only up to you.

Someone last week made a comment about how Snow killed all those people in battle, how is this different? I tend to agree. Cora was a casualty of war. You could compare her destruction to that of Hitler. Snow needs to see it from that point of view, which goes back to Rumples original comment.

She’s killed ogres, but Adam says she’s only ever knocked people out in battle.

I agree… Cora had to die or everyone else would have, probably including Regina. When Neal gave her the choice in the shop, Regina or the dagger, Cora went for the dagger. However, I think Snow’s biggest issue is not with Cora dying, it was deceiving Regina into causing it. She may have felt bad for a while over killing Cora directly, say in hand to hand combat or whatever, but getting Regina to do the dirty work was a trick worthy of Cora herself. Instead of murder making you as dark as the one you kill, I think you have to BE as dark as the one you INTEND to kill.

    So basically Rapunzel_is_a_Ginger:

Snow is guilty of murder by association. We all know that it was her manipulation of Regina’s need to feel love which ultimately caused Cora’s death. This one act of manipulation is what caused the whole thing to go down. True she was evil and it gave me chills when she said it. I must say I even loved her playing with the dark arts so to speak.

My point is that Snow is not upset that Cora is dead but for using Regina to actually commit the act. So I guess she will only be able to move on when she accepts why she had to do that. Why it had to be Regina. Which I believe until Regina sees why her mom had to die, Snow will not be able to accept her part in the situation.

A big message of this show is hope. This is something Eddy and Adam have shown and said time and time again. So the short answer is: yes, Snow can come back from murder. But I think it’s going to take awhile. Snow now believes herself to be less than who she always imagined, a view that Regina enforced during her and Snow’s scene at the end. This will drive Snow to new lows. But she can be saved, just like Regina can and just like Rumple. This show wouldn’t be this show without hope. I think it’s going to the entire Charming clan to bring her back.

Episode 20 is called the Evil Queen and I don't think it's about Regina. I think it's about Snow and trying to get her back to her Snow self. I think we're going to see a very different snow in that episode

I was thinking the same thing, RumplesGirl

I believe so, but I don’t think it’s going to be an easy road for her to come back down, IDK why but i’d love to see Snow become a new big bad, on the one hand it would be fun for Ginnifer to get to play “Dark Snow” and also it would be very interesting for Emma, Charming and Henry to have to try and defeat someone they know and love.

As for Snow’s redemption, I think it would come because of Emma, I think in the end the love of her daughter will cleanse Snow’s heart, returning it back to what it once was, but no matter what happens whether Snow does go fully bad for a while and is saved we all know that she will never be the same again.
