He’s perfect!
I figured we’d see him in flashbacks with a younger Belle or something but in Keck’s other tweet he tells him to have fun filming with Emilie AND Bobby. So maybe it’s not just in flashback? Rumple wasn’t there when Belle was younger. (That would make it a little creepy lol)
After all, in Beauty and the Beast, Lumiere was with the beast in his castle the whole time, not with Belle when she was younger. She doesn’t meet Lumiere til she goes to the castle and meets the beast. Maybe wherever Rumple ends up, he runs into Lumiere?

Thanks for explaining this too me I have never seen the Beauty of the Beast of I am out of the loop on this episode perhaps I might skip it since I don’t know the story.
Time to Google this guy and find out who he is, lol……………and maybe even watch the Disney movie, which I’ve never seen
Perhaps Lumiere will be the one who inspires Belle to love somebody with more depth than Gaston.

It’s hard for me to imagine that there are Once fans, or others, who have never seen the best Disney animated movie ever in the history of the company. Really? I think all of you that haven’t seen it should break down and give in. There is a reason it was nominated for Best Picture Oscar. It is simply brilliant and breathtaking and sweet and just the best Disney movie ever.

I might very well love it, but I doubt I’d find it the best……that’s just not me.
I purposely avoided it, yep. I never ever EVER had any desire to see it. I’m not a romantic at ALL. Yes I’ve shipped couples, but Rumbelle is the only couple ever who has inspired me to believe in true love – thanks to Bobby and Emilie. I have never, since I was a girl, cared about romance…..don’t like romance novels, don’t like “chick flicks”. When did it come out, 1991? I was 20 – had no interest in it……and never wanted to see it on Broadway. The only reason I would see it now is because I would probably adore Belle (she’s apparently “different” from everyone else and loves books, which is ME, lol) and also out of curiosity about parallels between the movie and ONCE.

But they aren’t doing the movie. Just like they didn’t do Peter Pan’s movie or did Snow White’s Disney movie. This is ONCE’s take. All you need to know is that he’s a servant. That’s it. You never read PP, right? And yet you watched all of the first half of S3. My point is: you don’t really need to have watched or read anyhting original for this show. They basically proved that when they made PP Rumple’s father.
My big question is where is Lumiere: is this in Belle’s original home before Skin Deep or is Lumiere apart of the the Dark One’s castle.

I would love to see Belle back in what’s left of Rumple’s rather large estate. As she cleans Rumple’s things, still mourning him, she comes across his candelabra. As Belle polishes it, and lights it, suddenly, Lumiere is released and returns to human form. He reminds Belle that Rumple loves her, and gives her the news that Rumple is alive. Lumiere tells Belle that he can help her find him.

Today it’s been revealed who will play the iconic candelabra ‘Lumiere’ from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, in the second part of the third series of Once Upon a Time. Lumiere or Lawrence as the character will be called will be played by Henri Lubatti (True Blood).
Lubatti will make his first appearance on the show in episode 3.15 “Quiet Minds”, which will be a Rumbelle – centric episode, featuring Emilie de Ravin as Belle and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin. It looks like we may be returning to Rumple’s castle in some flashback scenes, which will hopefully be linked to some present day Storybrooke events.His FIRST appearance? I seem to recall that the casting information didn’t specify anything beyond one appearance. Probably nothing.
I keep going back and forth about where Lumiere will be. If it’s Young!Belle then they aren’t using a younger actress but an aged-down Emilie. But that gets tricky with actors, though Emilie looks much younger than her 30yr old self anyway. So that leads me to believe that Lumiere is probably in the Dark One’s castle in the past. Which is odd because Belle said to Rumple in Skin Deep, “I think you were lonely.”
