So, the whole “Pan wanting Rumple to team up with him” plot line was teased again this episode, with Papa Pan leaving a loving note for his boy in the shop, along with his pipe (I only watched it once, but did he say Rumple could use it to call him when he changes his mind about them being a family again?)

So, with Rumple in the worst possible spot he could objectively be in, it seems as though he’s got no choice but to turn to his father–is anyone else seeing a pay-off coming for this, or am I nuts?

I don’t think you’re nuts. They showed that for a reason, you’re right. But I don’t think Pan has really learned his lesson in the Underworld; he still seems to be the same cruel and malicious guy he was when he was alive and terrorizing our heroes. I’m guessing he’s not exactly on the level with dear ol’ sonny boy.

Yeah, I’m feeling like this is going to be Gold’s version of that arc in S2 where Regina teamed up with Cora because she was desperate and had no one else to turn to. If Gold tells the heroes ANYTHING about what’s going on with him, he loses the tiny bit of credibility he had, so he really has no one else to turn to.

It’s funny, because it seems like Robbie Kay sort of wishes the character had evolved, but for whatever reason they (TPTB) don’t want to make him anything but terrible, lol.

This is probably an “out-there” theory, but here it goes. I wonder if Pan’s pipes can be used to rescue the lost souls from what I’m assuming is the River Lethe. Pan used it on his lost boys, so might it work on lost souls?

I like this theory a lot.  Could possibly rescue Milah with it.
