I definitely didn’t predict that Cora would be able to shift into another person or sustain another form as Lancelot for seemingly years. That’s just so messed up. I hate that she killed Lancelot (or so she says), but I am glad to finally have a villain that everyone can just plain hate. My main question is whether Cora always maintained her power or if she somehow acquired them later and how.

The shapeshifting thing adds a whole new dimension to the aspect of magic she has achieved and surpised me as well. Made we think of my Terry Brooks, Shannara series that has changlings in it, which takes us into a more sci-fi realm than fairy tale. That really threw me, and I haven’t decided if I like it yet or not, but bravo for Snow’s astute awareness that caught her. I suppose it will depend on what the writers do with it and how often they use it. Although I suppose it is no different than Malificent being able to turn into a dragon, is it?

I’m so excited to have Cora become the main villain for awhile! Like you said, feels like the fandom will finally get to bond over hating the same character…..until some weird ones start hero worshipping her- there’s always going to be someone loving her for being BAD 🙄

Kind of worried that she’s able to shape shift, knows Henry’s name, and has the goal of heading to Storybrooke. If she manages to get there before Snow and Emma, and shifts into one of them – all bets are off to what she could do. Regina and Henry are in danger!

I am wondering how much of what Cora said as Lancelot is true – is she really unaware of why this area was not effected by the curse? I thought for a second maybe she cast a spell to protect herself (and ended up shielding a section of land) but then why is she trying to escape to our world? Besides to get revenge on Regina…

All good points, Lil’ Red. Hadn’t thoght of what she could do reaching SB before Emma and Snow.

I am really nervous about the fact that if Cora gets to Storybrooke before Emma and Snow, things could get really bad for a lot of characters. But the main question is, will Cora have magic in Storybrooke (at least the same magic)? It would be hilarious if her magic wasn’t powerful enough and she tries to shapeshift and gets like Emma’s body and her head..lol

I’m thinking this morning that, since we are dealing with Cora, it could very well be a lie that she killed him.

That way, when Snow, Emma, Mulan and Aurora get back to the safe haven, if they see Lancelot, they will assume that it is Cora, and try to attack him. This will turn the rest of the refugees against our 4 heroes, thus possibly preventing them from interfering with Cora’s plan to get to Storybrook, if the refugees capture or kill them.

I don’t think we should take anything Cora says as truth, unless we see confirmation on screen.

Good point. Cora is definitely not to be trusted, and I wouldn’t put it past her to be scheming how to turn Lancelot’s followers against Snow White’s band of warrior princesses.

Oh, I hadn’t thought of the idea that Lancelot is still alive and Cora just lied. I guess I just thought she was heartless enough to kill him so I didn’t think twice about it. I hope Snow is smart enough to quiz Lancelot (if he is alive) to see if it is him or Cora. Something that only he would know – like how charmings mother sacrificed herself for snow’s child.

I like the idea of her just saying she killed him just so they do come off as the “bad guys” when they return to camp.

I am worried about this shape shifting magic Cora has. She could really be anyone… though I hope the writers don’t abuse it. Every once in a while if she shape shifts I will be okay with that, but I hope it is done sparingly.

The second Lancelot walked in in the castle I was just like ‘oh fudge no, that’s Cora. Wait, she can shapeshift?’ and my mind’s been buzzing since then. I too hope it won’t be abused as a power, like maybe it takes a lot out of her to use magic like that so she doesn’t use it unless she has to would be good. Still, I’m gonna be doubting everyone in FTL now. Heck, even if they just leave each other for a few moments I’ll start worrying they’re actually Cora now.

I also really hope Lancelot is alive. It’s Cora so there’s a big chance she was just lying. She could still have been pretending to be him at camp though so there’s a chance he’s even in SB or just unknown whereabouts or something… I just really want him to be alive. He’s my favorite knight in Arthurian legends and I really don’t want him to get just one episode here before being gone x.x

I really hope she was lying however I am not so sure. When Snow asks Lancelot about putting the water from the lake in the wedding chalise, he responded the same way Cora did when Regina asked her if she was the one who made Snow's horse go wild….I thought she was lying until that scene..Now I am not so sure.
