I’d love it if she was lying about Lancelot being dead, because I’d love to see more of him. Dunno that she’d bother to keep him alive though. Wonder if she can only shape shift into someone she’s killed…or someone’s heart she’s stolen?
Oh man, that comment above just gave me a new thought…you know how Regina's gonna think she's seeing Daniel's ghost in SB?! 😮
If she can’t shape shift into being someone who’s still living, then that would rule out her being able to pose as Snow, or Emma, or any of the major characters in SB, so they wouldn’t be able to abuse that power from a storytelling standpoint. Though, even if she can shape shift into the living, there’s no guarantee that her magic would work the same in SB anyway.

Wow, great theory! I hope there’s a limit to her ability to shape-shift into just anyone. Hopefully, it’s as you suggested.
I really hope Cora doesn’t masscarade as Daniel's ghost. I think she'll still be stuck in the EF in 2×5, so hopefully she can't just show up in SB quite yet.

I’m so excited to have Cora become the main villain for awhile! Like you said, feels like the fandom will finally get to bond over hating the same character…..until some weird ones start hero worshipping her- there’s always going to be someone loving her for being BAD 🙄
Kind of worried that she’s able to shape shift, knows Henry’s name, and has the goal of heading to Storybrooke. If she manages to get there before Snow and Emma, and shifts into one of them – all bets are off to what she could do. Regina and Henry are in danger!
I am wondering how much of what Cora said as Lancelot is true – is she really unaware of why this area was not effected by the curse? I thought for a second maybe she cast a spell to protect herself (and ended up shielding a section of land) but then why is she trying to escape to our world? Besides to get revenge on Regina…
I think it is very likely we’ll see a showdown between Regina and Cora at some point, and for the first time I’m actually hoping Regina will find a way to get her powers back and under control. It would be so awesome to see her using them to defend Storybrooke from Cora! Let’s keep in mind we never saw Regina and Cora together while both had powers…Regina got hers just as she got rid of Cora. Wouldn’t that be like the Battle of the Year?
If it comes to that I don’t think Rumpel will get involved. He’s got another agenda, and frankly I don’t think he even cares…

Also yes, I agree she will turn up in SB, and Regina will defend HER town, then they reinstate her as mayor? as for Rumple I think he’d help out Regina, sure there’s a history, but he gave Regina magic so she could help get rid of Cora so obviously it’s in Rumple’s best interest to have Regina win over Cora. Maybe Rumple feared she was becoming too powerful, so sent her away, then in all those years she’s actually managed to overtake “the dark one.” Never seen Rumple be able to shapeshift!!!

I also hope they don’t abuse Cora’s shape shifting ability but as we saw it gives Snow the chance to whip out her sward and be all “This person isn’t who they say they are.” It is one of those thriller moments in a way.October 17, 2012 at 4:01 am #156991fairytaleprincessParticipantI actually like the shape shifting. If she can shape-shift, maybe astral project too?
