Could this “witch” be Mother Gothel since we’re getting a new Rapunzel?
We’re getting a new Rapunzel too? Did I miss this news?
[adrotate group="5"]I guess Gothel is a good guess. Although I guess it arguable whether or not she’s a witch? Was she called a witch in the movie? Lord knows I loathe that movie Tangled, br Gothel was the best part of it. So if she’s Gothel I’m all for it.

I know I remember reading that somewhere, but now I can’t find it :/ Does anyone else remember this?
Mother Gothel sounds plausible, especially if we see a new version of Rapunzel. However, she seems too young. Maybe she is the Witch of the East from Oz, as everyone has already suggested.
Also, I know this wouldn’t happen because of a rights issue, but I would love to see THE witch from Narnia as in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!

I remember an article with them mentioning Rapunzel–along with other characters– as a character they did in the past that could theoretically could be seen again but nothing like a direct confirmation on her coming back.
