Mary has got to be in her late 20s around Emma’s age. I don’t think i can buy she is 21 also she is supposed to be a teacher which means she has to be at least 23 at the youngest. And even if Ruby is like 20 and Dr. Whale is like 35ish or something that is a big gap. And him hitting on her out on the street at night is really a creepy thing to do.

You know, that age thing is really weird.
We know Emma is 28 and MM is supposed to be around the same age, so when the curse happened Snow was that same age as she didn’t age afterwards. I also always believed Cinderella and Red being around the same age as Snow.
The problem is that in The Price of Gold Ashley tells Emma that she’s 19! That would mean she was 19 when the curse happened! She just doesn’t look 10 years younger than Emma or MM/Snow!!
Really, the only one who could play the late teen early 20 is Sean/Prince Thomas and even that’s a stretch. 😕I did have these thoughts as well – I guess they had to make Cinder younger otherwise we’d all be like ‘man up women’ you’re 20 something act it! as opposed to awww she’s being bullied into giving up her baby cause she’s still so young- its the only thing I can put it down to anyway – I think looks wise it makes more sense if they’re all say around 25, but then we wouldnt have the story lines we have, as the traditional main girls were just that, young girls (16/17yrs max).
SW & PC have a big gap – the mirror article on him waking up says he in his 30’s – so unless he & MM are considered creepy as well….:)

Also because both the actress and the series creators have commented on the situation of the daughter being the same age as the mother. And if Emma is 28, then MM has to be 26-30 yrs old (plus Ginny Goodwin is just a year older than Jennifer Morrison).

In a, “hey girl I have been there and done that kind of thing and don’t do this it may not be good…” sort of way??? right? plausible?

Oh, I’ve missed those statements somewhere along the way! If the creators & actress have already stated MM & Emma are the same age, then yep, MM has to be about 28 then.
Given MM & Emma are 28, then Ruby cant be much younger at all, as she just doesnt look that much younger at all (esp by the end of Red Handed Ep)-so she cant be younger than 24 if the others are 28- at least I wouldnt buy her been any younger.
I pretty much take EVERYTHING the ‘god guy’ mains do at this point (actions wise), as simply being down to the curse making them their worst selves (the creators & a number of the cast have said this as well- SB = the characters worst traits coming forward rather than their best etc) & this explains Ruby’s childish, irresponsible, impulsive, overly sexual/flirty behavior in SB.Okay just had a look on IMDB & Meghan Ory is 29 (turns 30 in 4mths), David Anders has just turned 31 (march)- so pretty sure Ruby’ll be approx 25-28yrs old which would make Whale approx 3-8yrs older max, than Ruby is, so I dont see that as creepy at all 🙂
